The amount you receive each week depends on how much you earned each week while you were employed. It usually turns out to be about half of your average weekly salary, but cannot be more than $275 per week. If you averaged less than $64 per week, you may not qualify. Basically, we consider the wages you earned during the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters at the time you file your claim. I'm where you will be. The best advice I can give you is to make your resume very searchable. Compress your skills to buzzwords that will trigger text searches. Compress it so it can be scanned within thirty seconds with further details lower on the page. Then, post it everywhere, and I do mean everywhere.
Aside from that, keep your chin up and count your blessings. You'll get another job; you might take a cut in pay or security but things will recover eventually. Compettion is fierce right now but you can win but you've got to keep fighting.
