I suppose this is a bad time for me to ride my favorite hobby horse: "Why are there no green mammals?"

This is related to the stories last week relating how High School literature exams are doing the same kind of editing with the classics - omitting non-PC words...and thus watering down the great books.

So what was the problem with those four words? Or to be specific, what was the problem with that one word?

The anti-Christ said he didn't like it. He finds it "offensive." It hurts his "self esteem."

Was the incident boring? No, it would have been dramatic. Was it too violent? No, the film depicted awful violence. So what was the problem? The problem was that an anti-gun agenda was more important

But...how can a socialist dictator take over the country while it's armed? Had the 9/11 been on schedule....darn Muslims were late, they used the wrong calendar!

Obviously, the editors thought it of no importance that this man had risked his life 29 times to defend our country.

Hey, he might have hurt someone! What's a few Americans when whales are dying?

Yet these facts are rarely mentioned when the subject of reparations is raised. Why? Are the dead and maimed unimportant? Or are they merely inconvenient?

Liberals don't like fact. Facts hurt their brains.

Things have changed. Now an agenda is more important than the truth. Indeed, an agenda has replaced the truth.

"They ( Satans followers) will come to exchange truth for a lie" - Politically incorrect Holy Bible.

If educators, journalists and media moguls tamper with the facts, fraud and bias can creep in.

To some extent this Hollywood bias has always been the case. I think it was 1960 before TV showed a man and a woman in double bed -- together. Before 1960 all TV programs had marrieds sleeping in twin beds.

The stories now seem to be more critical because the left has won the media and there isn't much we conservatives can do about it.

Facts really stopped mattering to Hollywood and the media a very, very long time ago. The universities we lost in the 1970's. The press went to the liberals in the 1960's.

Why are there no green mammals?

Obviously, you haven't been dealing with our nation's yout' recently. Also blue, purple and a really suspicious shade of chestnut!

I thought he was wood, like Poncho, and that's why the tree huggers loved him. Gosh, I never pictured him as alive.

On reflection,I believe you to be correct.Come to think of it,trying to explain anything to a lefty like Al-and this goes for all of them, not just the ones in charge-is very much like trying to explain something to a tree.

Except you're better off talking to the tree. You have at least as much chance of being understood, and you don't have to chase the tree around the room while you're doing the explaining. The trees are also much better mannered, and they can be relied on to produce valuable things like edible seeds, lumber, and other useful substances. The lefties,on the other hand...
