I call it a "creepy" obsession. You can call it whatever you want I guess.

I know this is off the issues being discussed here at present but I keep wondering why the dog Layla chewed up her bed. Way back when, somewhere in PH or elsewhere Peter Damon said Brenda came downstairs and the girls left for Dad's. If the dog was shut up in their bedroom from approxmately 8Pm until 10;30 or so when Damon entered his bedroom and found the chewed up bed could the dog have been upset by something that happened in the house after Brenda left at 8PM and before 10:30PM but she was unable to get out of the room and out of agitation, chewed up her bed? Would this dog have known if a stranger was in the house if she was closed off in the master bedroom?
This probably is nothing...Could be the dog was in the habit of tearing apart her bed........Just wondering.

So, welcome to the discussion. From what I've seen, you believe DW killed Danielle. Is that correct?
Do you have a theory on why DW would want to kill Danielle?
Perhaps you could explain how he got her out of the house, past the dog, past Damon, past the other 2 children, left no evidence of being there?
These are the main items that have concerned us. The ones we can't explain, if DW is the one that did it.
Why do you think the Van Dams and their partiers keep lying in court, to the police, to the press? What would they have to hide?

Hey, I thought of you today when I read about algore pilfering the bust of Abraham Lincoln! Here we were just discussing his propensity to sweat profusely. LOL
Well, I'm off to a meeting.

and we know Danielle has worn that necklace for like 2 years straight...And that explains why it was played up at the PH and the trial when BvD said "she never took it off".
I still think it strange that any child could wear a cheap plastic necklace all the time for 2 years. Not to mention the child should have grown bigger in that time but most cheap jewelry would have broken long ago. (And I still don't understand why she didn't even take it off for baths.)

I know you said the other night that you had a bad experience with cops once. I also don't trust them completely and think they sometimes/often take the easy way out. My experience was when my ex-wife came home late one night to our condo and some guy tried to jump her and rape her as she climbed the fence at the back of our condo building. She rang up and I let her in and she was visibly shaken. The guy ran off with her keys even. That's how she couldn't get into the building. I was the one who insisted on calling the cops, being a law and order guy myself. She didn't want to, but I called them anyway. Well, the officer showed up and asked her a few questions and proceeded to take me out to the hallway and tell me he was thinking of charging her with public mischief. Yes, I insist on calling the cops and they were going to charge her. Apparently the cop had seen it all before and "knew" what was going on. I think they get into the habit of taking the expedient way out and not thinking. They looked around about back but that was it. He was of course long gone. It turned out that I went looking for the keys myself 2 days later and found them maybe 40 yards away from where the incident took place. I kind of thought that was their job, but I guess they were too busy jumping to conclusions.

I keep wondering why the dog Layla chewed up her bed.I'm curious about that too. Also curious why Damon has made sure he mentioned it every chance he gets AND says he put the chewed up bed into the laundry room. I think we'll hear more about the dog bed before this is over. Maybe even some fibers and/or hair from the chewed up dog bed? Another thing on my list that makes me go hmmmmmmm

I know you said the other night that you had a bad experience with cops once. The county prosecutor would love to charge me with some sort of crime, but he doesn't dare. First thing is, I would not hire a defense attorney. Secondly, I would call about 10-15 judges as witnesses, along with a whole host of other public officials and have them assereting their 5th Amendment rights in about 5 minutes each; and they know it!

That is an interesting thought about the dog bed....they also shut her in Deriks room on the bottom bunk..must not be something she does often to risk having her tear up the kids bed.

I do hope that the teenagers will be witnesses for DW. Maybe even the exgirlfriend! His son & former brother in law are slated to testify, according to something said on crttv. Can't figure out how this can go for 2-3 months, though.

I am suspicious of this arrest for a number of reasons, but two are at the top of my list.
1) San Diego DA, Paul Pfingst, was just days away from a primary where he had opposition for the first time.
2) Diane Halfman, retired SDPD, was joined at the hip with the VDs from day one.
So in regards to #1, I figure the heat was really on from the top.
As for #2, an LE type was awfully snuggly and familiar with the perverts. Was/is she the only LE type that likes cozying up with the swingers? I doubt it.

I don't know that Layla was in the MB alone from the time Brenda left until PDvD found the chewed bed but from reading the transcripts(PH) thats the way it sounds.BTW, Dusek had to remind PDvD to tell the court about the incident so it must have been important in some way. Maybe the LE asked about the chewed up bed when they were there the next morning so it had to be included in the testimony?

Different topic but does anyone know where the vds moved from 5 years ago? I saw Arizona today (Court TV and yes I know they get most everything wrong!) but I thought I had heard Texas.
Texas or Arizona?

I've also wondered about Diane Halfman. Today during RR show he said that very early on the LE had assured him that the VD's and their friends had been cleared because they had alibis. From 10 til 2 I suppose Damons alibi was Layla? Do you remember how Diane Halfman knew the VD's? I'm new at this posting thing, hope I make sense!
