At least the Baptists still have the courage to speak "the truth". Good for them!

The homosexuals have ruined so much of what used to be good in this nation.

I like it when the Homos tell us God made them that way. I ask you to find JUST ONE verse in the Bible that talks about Queers in a good tone.

This is the kind of Preaching I grew up on. I was Southern Baptist, but now I am Independent Baptist.

Mohammed and BJ Clinton. Now there are a pair of leaders!! And their followers have a lot in common. Don't bother them with facts.

Well unless this pastor said something untrue, I really don't see what the problem is.

No, I was responding to your comment that the Mohammadens weren't disputing the facts of his life the Baptist stated (demon-posessed pedophile). The pedophila is a fact, the possession is less clearly a fact. That's all.

Good on the Baptists. ...

My Greek professor referred to this construct as the "dative of disadvantage." (The joke is probably lost on 99.999% of the population.)

The proper prep. is "Good for the Baptists."

One more "p" and you've got a candidate title for Baptist sermon.

Actually, "good on" is a British (and Australian) construction which, while not strictly correct, as you point out, is idiomatic U-usage. "Good for" is more strictly correct, is usual in the US, but is almsot a non-U indicator in England. I was having fun with the language and as the Brits would say "having you on" if you're a language Nazi.

I don't remember many headlines when, on TV, Jesus was called the same or worse.

. If Muhammad was heavily involved in multiple wives, he wouldn't have had time to spend all night praying like tradition says."

"but but but but if Mohammed was a pedophile and murdered lots and lots of people, then he wouldn't be a great prophet. And we all know that he is, because we all know that he is!"

My brother and his family are members of Dr. Vine’s church. I believe it’s the largest Southern Baptist Church in Florida. He’s a good ‘ol Southern boy who likes to mix his homespun anecdotes into his preaching. He kinda reminds me of the character that Andy Griffith played in No Time for Sergeants

Although I don’t agree with his theology, his message on this topic was right on the money.

"That language is so offensive that it tears down any bridge we might have to speak to Muslims about Christianity..."

9/11 tore down any bridge I might want with anyone who sponsors terrorism. While I am coming to realize that not all Muslims are Islamists, it will take me a long time to forget the silence of the Muslims who aren't. Why would you want to convert a Muslim to Christianity? Are they not serving one true God, as well. I assume He will deal with them as the deals with Jews -- by the law. We're the only lucky so-and-so's who accept grace.

Look, these people claim to be practitioners of a religion that respects Christianity and Judaism, and that simply is impossible, given the way they preach the death of all Jews and Christians.

They are inconsistent with themselves.

Hint: They know this, too. Dissembling is a part of their religion.

Noodle it out, Clara Lou.

These folks ain't Lutherans.

Additionally, I can see why some folks are a little unhappy with other folks who are implying they are deficient. God deals with His people in the way they will allow Him to do so. Muslims had a shot at Judiasm, Judiasm had a shot at Christianity, and both turned back in favor of the manner in which they could deal with God. Let's not punch them in the nose for it. Pray they can withstand their chosen ordeal. By comparison, Christians have a skate.

Muslims like to dish it out but obviously can't take it.I would say if Mohammad is a pedophile then his followers most certainly are!
