Good priests will stay and fight for the Church that Christ established. The purge of criminals masquerading as priests will be lengthy and thorough but the gates of hell will not prevail.

That person has not read the Bible.  Ro 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  The Holy Spirit leads people out of sin, doesn't keep people in it nor confirm them in the closet.  There is condemnation to those who continue in sin.

They didn't repent, didn't keep themselves and presumptuously assume God can be mocked.  The whole world lieth in wickedness and is choosing Barabbas and sin over the Lord and righteousness.  The simple answer is just to repent.
