if this guy has permanent work status. What rights does he have while here? Does he get a lawyer for free? If they are not citizens of the USA do they still have ALL the same rights as Citizen?

As to my own opinion, I'm not sure if that is the correct policy or not, I have heard (and made) thoughtful arguments on both sides.
