Liberal Whiners

A group of left-wing actors, writers and academics has issued a public condemnation of the Bush administration's war on terrorism, releasing a letter that includes the suggestion that the U.S. may have actually deserved what it got on 9-11.

The signatories to the protest letter include prominent U.S. critics Ed Asner and Ossie Davis, civil rights scion Martin Luther King III, feminist Gloria Steinem, Rabbi Michael Lerner and playwright Eve Ensler.

Ensler, author of the "Vagina Monologues," and Lerner, the one-time publisher of Tukkun Magazine, are both good friends of Democratic Party presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

In their sole reference to Sept. 11, the anti-war group suggests that the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were a consequence of past U.S. military aggression.

"We too mourned the thousands of innocent dead [on 9-11] and shook our heads at the terrible scenes of carnage," the signatories said, "even as we recalled similar scenes in Baghdad, Panama City and, a generation ago, Vietnam."

London's Guardian newspaper, which first reported the anti-terror war letter, called its signers "the widest ranging group of opponents of government policy since September 11."

The letter, which the group titled "Not in Out Name," urges "all Americans to resist the war and repression that has been loosed on the world by the Bush administration. It is unjust, immoral and illegitimate."

The group warns that the war on terrorism's "brutal repercussions have been felt from the Philippines to Palestine. The government now openly prepares to wage all-out war on Iraq - a country which has no connection to the horror of September 11."

"We will resist the machinery of war and repression and rally others to do everything possible to stop it," the group concludes.

Yeah, they run the gamut from marginally-talented, brain-dead, America-hating leftists to completely talentless, brain-dead, America-hating leftists.

It is nausiating to think there are so called Americans that would even consider the idea. I sugest Asner & company find and join up with a Al Queeda camp. Don't they realize they and their lifestyle cound not exist under a system run by Al Queeda. How spineless and stupid can these people be?

Untill I see these people on their knees and elbows facing Mecca three times a day, I can't hear a word they are saying.

Yeah, of all the war and repression in the world, Bush's is by far the worst. /sarcasm

attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were a consequence of...........

AGAIN - Nobody likes being forced to 'think' as the liberals dictate they should. No doubt the hate for this country and it's evil thought police has amplified 100 fold.
Forcing someone to think contrary to their conscience creates hate.
Hate creates violence.
Violence creates war.
The poltically correct say they do it to SAVE humanity, but the very thing they say they're trying to prevent is mulitplying in strength.
There's more hate in the world today because of political correctness and the thought police than ever before.

Imagine telling and environmentalist that SUVs are safer for them, therefore, for their own good - by law, they must drive SUVs. Would they love you?
Imagine telling a member of PETA that red meat is the most valuable source of vitamin B12, therefore, for their own good - by law, they must eat meat. Whould the love you?

Imagine telling The Irish they're too Catholic, and it must stop. Would they love you?
Imagine telling a Muslim their wives must be allowed to abort their children. Would they love you?
Imagine the Protestants forced to turn on their faith and hire Sodomites. Would they love you?
Imagine mothers being told , for the rights of their daughters, their daughter can engage in immorality and abort without her written consent. Would they love you?
Imagine telling Sweden they don't have enough children in daycare, so the mothers must start working. Would they love you?
Imagine telling farmers their land, that is their only wealth, cannot be plowed because of mother earth. Would they love you?
Imagine a family owned business being forced to share all they have with employees by law. Would they love you?

resist the war and repression that has been loosed on the world by the Bush administration. It is unjust, immoral and illegitimate."

But the attack on the WTC is considered politically correct. The terrorists are now the innocent victims. Remember, you must think as the liberals dictate you should, or the politics of destruction will be released in full force against you. !

even as we recalled similar scenes in Baghdad, Panama City and, a generation ago, Vietnam.

Of course, the difference is that United States soldiers did not generally target civilians, and the few who did (e.g. Lt. Calley) were severely punished by American authorities when discovered.

I think every generation has a little group like this. They want to be seen as being apart from the great unwashed, an elite group who sees the deeper meaning of life.....unlike the poor slobs who work for a living.

If tomorrow, the "little people" started agreeing with them....they'd do a 180. Ed Asner would be calling for bombs over Bagdad.
