American Lefties Say U.S. Deserved 9-11

A group of left-wing actors, writers and academics has issued a public condemnation of the Bush administration's war on terrorism, releasing a letter that includes the suggestion that the U.S. may have actually deserved what it got on 9-11.

The signatories to the protest letter include prominent U.S. critics Ed Asner and Ossie Davis, civil rights scion Martin Luther King III, feminist Gloria Steinem, Rabbi Michael Lerner and playwright Eve Ensler.

Ensler, author of the "Vagina Monologues," and Lerner, the one-time publisher of Tukkun Magazine, are both good friends of Democratic Party presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

In their sole reference to Sept. 11, the anti-war group suggests that the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were a consequence of past U.S. military aggression.

"We too mourned the thousands of innocent dead [on 9-11] and shook our heads at the terrible scenes of carnage," the signatories said, "even as we recalled similar scenes in Baghdad, Panama City and, a generation ago, Vietnam."

London's Guardian newspaper, which first reported the anti-terror war letter, called its signers "the widest ranging group of opponents of government policy since September 11."

The letter, which the group titled "Not in Out Name," urges "all Americans to resist the war and repression that has been loosed on the world by the Bush administration. It is unjust, immoral and illegitimate."

The group warns that the war on terrorism's "brutal repercussions have been felt from the Philippines to Palestine. The government now openly prepares to wage all-out war on Iraq - a country which has no connection to the horror of September 11."

"We will resist the machinery of war and repression and rally others to do everything possible to stop it," the group concludes.

Freedom of press, freedom of speech, does have some odiferous moments.

But it's worth it.

Yeah, they run the gamut from marginally-talented, braindead America-hating leftists to completely talentless, braindead, America-hating leftists.

These kooks sound like the cast of "Marlin Perkins' Zoo Parade". It's the usual bunch of fully fledged socialists. They have always been like that...probably just to get attention ("naughty 3-year-old syndrome"...throwing a fit = getting attention).

These are people (especially Asner who hasn't landed a paying job in a long time) who would otherwise have become forgotten, trying to wave their last "I'm still here" flag. Without publicity, they are nothing and it's nature's revenge upon those who thrive on adulation.

Clinton is starting to feel it already.

U.S. critics Ed Asner and Ossie Davis, civil rights scion Martin Luther King III, feminist Gloria Steinem, Rabbi Michael Lerner and playwright Eve Ensler ,,,, and Mrs. Bill Cosby (who blames the U.S. today for slavery which ended in 1865 even though she is wealthy beyond imagination) are examples of corruption and international socialism running rampant in our society.

This is really really sad.

That 911 photo always disturbs me whenever I see it ... Just thankful the camera did not catch close-ups of the horrified faces of innocents who knew they were going to die and had no choice but to jump or burn. The image of baby being held out for fresh air chokes me up ...because I know the mother decided to jump with her child in her arms.

Thought experiment:

Suppose I were Ed Asner’s neighbor. Suppose also that I believe I have a legitimate grievance against him – never mind what, precisely – just that I’m convinced I have a legitimate complaint against him. I’ve called the police; they don’t want to come out. I’ve called the papers; they’re not interested in the story. I’ve talked to my lawyer; he advised me I haven’t got a winning case. I've tried to talk to Mr. Asner; he's told me to "buzz off."

So I take a Louisville slugger, sneak into Asner’s yard, surprise him while he’s sunning next to his swimming pool and shatter both his knee caps, then give him a solid whack right in the bollocks.

Shouldn't he, politically correct liberal that he is, carefully examine his conscience for any misstep which led to this retribution? Would he refrain from judging or condemning my actions, since they were conducted from within a different, and equally valid, system of morals and values? Would he, politically correct liberal that he is, be willing to patiently listen to my grievance and make amends?

Here's hoping the next attack will get them or their relatives since they feel they deserve it and leave the true Americans alone.

If Asner thought your so-called legitimate beef was caused by actions of his government, he'd say those actions were wrong, and so was your carnage upon him.
Then he'd ask all to stop the causes and the carnage.

and Mrs. Bill Cosby (who blames the U.S. today for slavery which ended in 1865 even though she is wealthy beyond imagination)

She’s also the complete idiot who blamed America’s racist white history when her son was murdered by a recent Ukranian immigrant.

Her only slightly less stupid husband has opined that the US government invented AIDS to kill black people, and he gave $25,000 dollars to Tawana Brawley.

Hey Mr. and Mrs. Cosby! Ete me!

The usual suspects. If they were really that sorry I'd suggest they atone by killing themselves.

What a load of crap. Asner would scream bloody murder, demand that the culprit be imprisoned indefinitely, and sue him to take away everything he owned.

Smack a pacifist and you'll find the angry, violent, revenge-minded hypocrit underneath.

You're 100% right. So where do we deport them to?

Did anyone catch the phrase, "friends of Hillary Clinton"? I can only wish everyone of these so called "Americans" would be deported. They don't belong here, and continue to mouth anti American garbage. As long as we allow them to get away with it, they will keep on. The enemy has landed. We better be watchful, and let everyone know WHO THEY ARE!!

Lerner, the one-time publisher of Tukkun Magazine

For the record, I believe it's Tikkun Magazine. If you visit their website, take some anti-nausea medicine first.

" -----were a consequence of past U.S. military aggression."

Hmmm ---- Were they talking about:

Sudan and Afganistan to ofset the 'mea-culpa deposition'????
Operation Desert Fox to stall the impeachment debate????
Kosovo to block the Cox report????

Hmmm -- weren't these Clinton things?
