In regards to pornography consumption, it is fairly simple: Today's porno is by and large by men for men. It is not that women are immune. It simply is not designed to appeal to them. In recent years, some "sex therapists" have been designing "sex videos" to appeal to women's tastes. If the porno industry focused on making porno for women, their consumption would probably rise as well.

Proposition: if porno was designed to appeal to women, the anti-porn crusader's ranks would diminish by half.

What do you think will happen 20 years from now, when an entire generation of women has been raised on Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, and their ilk? Scarcely an issue gets printed without an article on improving one's fellating technique or "confessing" one's various sexual adventures to an audience of 12 million.

But common sense tells us who benefits from the ACLU and the porno industry leads the list. Tammy Bruce, the NOW renegade, mentioned Seagrams and the Bronfman family funding NOW and People for the American Way. She kept saying "Follow the money" when she was on C-Span recently. The Seagram heirs are involved in producing not porno but some pretty sleazy stuff. Paying off NOW and funding PFAW is a good investment for them.

Thank you for the info. It definitely makes sense. I just had not heard of a direct connection before and hadn't really stopped to think it through.

Strange, isn't it, that only in the past few years 16 year old high school guys would complain about being seduced by their hot teachers.
