This is a new thread because the last one has gone over 1000 replies.

The last subjects being discussed were the .22 Cartridge spent shell and the possibility Damon wore long sleeve shirts because he had POISON OAK.

Danielle's body was found in a patch of POISON OAK.

Also being discussed were the , so far, lack of physical evidence, or it being tied to something that could prove Westerfield is guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

"A bullet shell casing...what's up with that?"...Boy, doesn't that open up a whole new can of worms? How did a guy get into the house past an alarm, a dog, the father on the same floor and then shoot a gun which nobody heard? So, who shot Danielle? Plus, if DW shot Danielle, how did she put her fingers on a surface in his MH? And why haven't we heard about this before today?

Primarily because the prosecution decided not to "share" (read: leak) this tidbit of information.

I am "floored" that a shell casing was found on the floor of the dead girl's room and that it was not even MENTIONED by the prosecution.

This case stinks of incompetance, negligence and/or corruption on the part of LE.

The most important factor about the .22 casing may be the fact that it shows LE completely contaminated the 'crime scene'. I don't think the casing is from a LE's stock, but could have been tracked in on the bottom of someone's shoes.

If true, or provable, it would completely discredit any evidence from Danielle's room.

Hey, UCANSEE2, I respectfully submit you may discard the Damon and poison oak theory since there is zero evidence that he

A) Was out at the Dehesa site and

B) You yourself said you found a picture of him in short sleeves about Feb. 12.

Much ado about nothing when it comes to Damon and sleeves, imo.

OK, here is my theory: Westerfield was an "invited guest" for a little after-hours partying with (Mrs) Van DAMN(spelling is intentional). He was stoned or drunk or both, and decided on a whim to take the child with him when he left. The other adults were "occupied" in the garage, and paid no attention.

I have $500.00 to bet that this WILL turn out to be the case- but, since I will not take the chance of exposing my family to some of the nutballs who post (or lurk) on FR, it is a little difficult to see how to get the bet down...

I would like to know How and When he got her body into the camper? Did anyone ever try carrying a 60 pound bag of flour through a Motorhome Door? There is hardly room, it's a steep entry, and he did this in broad daylight after walking out his front door to the sidewalk and then around the corner to the Motorhome.

DW was supposedly fairly drunk. Yep, I can see him sneaking in and out of the VD house with a child draped over his shoulder, while he is drunk, and doesn't leave a trace of evidence he ever was there and no one (damon,guests,even a dog) sees or hears him.
