Speicher case draws notice from Jackson camp

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson is interested in helping resolve the fate of missing Jacksonville Navy pilot Scott Speicher, according to an official in Jackson's organization and a lawyer for Speicher's family.

James Gomez, director of international affairs for Jackson's Rainbow-PUSH Coalition, said he planned to speak with Jackson in more detail yesterday after meeting last week with a representative of the downed airman's family. It may be several weeks before a firm decision is made about Jackson's role, Gomez said.

What? Je$$e ran out of deep pockets to shake down?

We ought to tell him: "Fine, go try. But you can't come back in the country without him." Then, we'd find out if it's sincere or just another publicity grab.
