Okay, I reread it. I believe it says that since we are here, the earth must have been made with us in mind (no accident). You can also look at it this way. We evolved to use what was available (what else could we have used?). In one instance, it was the waste product of vegetation, oxygen. Had plants not evolved, neither would we have. But then we wouldn't be here to say that we were an accident. Ever hear of the Antrhopic Principle?
