Great job, Dr. Scarpetta!

I have only done one 15-20 minute walk. Second one is after dinner.

That's great that you not only took one walk but 2, now you know that hard part is keeping it up. ohhhhh that is so hard. But I am also pretty proud of myself. Yesterday morn I went walking about 730am with my 8yr old and we did 2 miles, got home, turned on FOX AND FREINDS and while I was getting my shower ready I watched all the fitness activities going on at the Whitehouse and then the speech. My son looked at me and said, MOM IS THAT WHY YOUR WALKING SO MUCH, BECAUSE GEORGE W IS TELLING YOU TO? I had to laugh because, does my family know me or what?

As a matter of fact yesterday was my 7th day in a row I had walked, but today I blew it, long story, but the guilt was there, so it is written in my sheduale for tomarrow.

Good for you!! I did 1/2 hour on the treadmill, but it would never let me go over 1/2 mile an hour because my heart rate was too high to begin with. I've had sort of heart palpitations all day, and getting a flushed feeling every now and then. Is this that hot flash crap I've been hearing about so much?

I'll try it again tomorrow. Thanks rintense for these great pics. It sure helps us on our Bush Babe Bod-a-thon journey, doesn't it?

Good for you!

I had forgotten that the 22nd was the day this race / walk was scheduled but I did my part on the Left Coast and walked briskly for almost two hours on an exercise trail along the Seattle waterfront, stopping only to use the binoculars and the pullchain facility, once each. We went for a late afternoon - sunset walk and the sun, Mt. Rainier, the light clouds and the moon were all in extraordinary color and beauty. Salt air does it for me. What a joy.
