The stories started popping up about the Van Dam case and they turned out to be true. That family allowed very unsavory people to have access to their children. Brenda had talked to the suspect about her swinging life style. Westerfield used their lifestyle to get to their little girl. The same may be happening here.
I don't think I am condemned to hell, because you don't want to face the possibility that the National Enquirer printed a story that is true, and that the police have been told to keep quiet about, because homosexuality is not a crime. If the father and brothers are involved in the homosexual lifestyle while married and fathering children, I do believe that this coverup could be very pertinent to this case and should be investigated.
The Van Dam stories didn't "start popping up," they were targets of inquiry from the very beginning.
And still to this day, no one is suggesting that the Van Dams ASSISTED or were COMPLICIT in the murder of their daughter.
They were unsavory people, and their lifestyle doubtless contributed to what happened, but it was an unintended consequence. Their daughter's murder was a stark lesson to them, a punishment beyond what even THEY deserved.
But here, where you have a good, decent family whom no one who actually knows them has one bad thing to say, you have the most scurrilous and vicious gossip and rumor-mongering going on, that DWARFS what I read on the threads concerning the Van Dams.
There is a STARK difference, and I fully believe the reason is because there are too many small-minded, petty guttersnipes on FR who can't STAND the thought that there are decent people, and want them cut down to size.
It's just part of the society we live in now, the same phenomenon that allowed James Carville and his henchmen to attack Kenneth Starr during the Lewinsky Scandal, and paint HIM as the evil one instead of that unreconstructed felon we had shacking up in the White House.
It's the most disgusting thing I've seen in my years on FR.
