I have mentioned to varying people at different times that conservatives should stop starting new organizations and take advantage of one that is already in place and active. This is not meant to be a call to join the Grange, although I would be happy if you did that. I have posted this article to show the kind of access given to the Grange and how one powerful oraganization can make a difference. The Grange is already in place with a history of activism and a well known name. Banding together and increasing the numbers would only increase the power. We could be the driving force behind the policies of this nation.

Other organizations that have taken advantage of the increase of power associated with the Grange are:

Think how effective the Bucket Brigade could have been if it had made stops at the approximately 230 Granges across California.

Everyone has heard the phrase: United we stand, divided we fall.

Why then do we spend so much energy trying to hold together organizations that have no money and no power when that energy could be directed at driving policy?

You make an extremely powerful and profound point.

Thanks for the ping. The schedule makes me lonesome for my old AAW days. They've been doing those Legislative Fly-ins for more than 15 years. I always enjoyed the USDA visits. Who did you hear from USDA?

Thanks for the prod; maybe others would like to check out their neighbor.
