Equating the Israelis to the Palestinians.
It wasn't the Israelis singing and dancing in the streets after the 9/11 attack. That was the Palestinians.
Clearly, Bush is not insane.
Then why would he continue this irrational, horrible and hopeless course of embracing the Palestinians, and CONCEPTUALLY giving them equal status to real, honest-to-goodness civilized people?!
There is going to be big trouble ahead. When you insist on driving toward a river after passing half a dozen signs that read "Bridge Out" there's really no excuse for a surprised look on your face when you start drowning...

I think he's attempting to make a distinction between the Palestinian Authority (Arafat) and the Palestinian people. And in making such a distinction, he's hoping to drive a wedge between the two. If there is any hope for the Palestinian people, it is that there will be something akin to a coup which replaces the current thugs and murders in the PA. Anything short of that, and Israel will be given a green light to do what it pleases.
