--Henry Kissinger in an address to the Bilderberg organization meeting at Evian, France, May 21, 1992. Transcribed from a tape recording made by one of the Swiss delegates.

I can't find a single full text source for Kissinger's alleged statements at Evian, France, and that lack of other quotes from the same meeting is curious, as is the lack of a full transcript. Can you please find the FULL text of that address and link it here? Quotes don't mean a darn thing when they're taken out of context- and in fact, can mean the exact opposite of what they appear to say when shown in isolation. For all anyone knows, he was describing what could happen if the US was subject to continual terrorist attacks and the soccer moms were able to outvote us, not neccessarily describing what he would like to see happen. I can pull quotes like that out of many freepers' comments as they express their fears about what terrorists could do, and then claim they wanted those things to happen.

No. At that point, the liberals will demand that all firearms be confiscated to protect the US from crossfire as Americans attempt to engage the terrorists and protect their families.

You may have noticed that the liberals' demands to confiscate firearms over the last few years led to the rising up of the entire gun-owning electorate in the 2000 elections (47% of voters were gun-owners; you think they voted Democratic?), the repeal of gun bans in a number of states and replacement with concealed-carry laws, and the complete destruction of gun control organizations to the point where they're just a couple months of slow donations away from Chapter 7 filings.

Gun control on the national level is a dead issue now, and will be for at least the next couple of generations, if not forever. There are still fights to be fought in some states, but we're winning them. And any events like the one described in this article will lead to the almost instantaneous total crushing of all remaining gun control advocacy groups and politicians. There will be massive runs on gun stores nationwide (just as there was, to a much smaller extent, post-9/11), and any politician that even mentions the POSSIBILITY of ANY sort of gun control regulation will be committing political suicide.

There is no way the "guerilla" can survive in a hostile environment for long. According to Mao and others, he must be "like a fish in the sea".

Also, if this does start, it will end with the complete extermination of them all, and there will be no replacements coming in after them. After such an attack, the public would absolutely DEMAND the total banning of all male Arabs in that age range from being allowed in the US.

In short, they might be able to do this, but they'll only be able to do it once.

But I am afraid that even if the terorists did hit places like Berkely and Massachusetts, the remaining liberals would find a way to blame it on us right-wingers. It would be "our" fault, somehow.

Sure, they'd find a way to rationalize it to themselves. But they will be horrified to discover that nobody else will even give them a hearing. If they think they lost a ton of support post-9/11 (and they did), wait until something like this goes down. They'd start getting beaten up on street corners for even daring to make such an accusation.

Not that I condone physical violence against mere speech, but I do believe it would happen.

the public would absolutely DEMAND ... how old are you? Haven't you awakened to the harse reality that the public is preoccupied with their bread and circuses, and even if awakened, they haven't the knowledge of how to demand or from whom to extract what they wish?

Good points, Southack, but I would hesitate to call the folks on the planes 'vigilantes.' Vigilanteism is summary action when the justice system fails or is believed to have failed in a specific case which has been brought, IOW, mob rule action in the absence or defiance of rule of law. Historically, it is action taken after the law has been allowed an opportunity to try and punish a case, but came up short or was perceived as coming up short. In ancient terms, a vigilante is one who pursues a person 'after the sun has set on the crime,' or after a criminal gets out of sight and there is a chance for mistaken identity. Any action taken against a perpetrator while the crime is taking place and the threat is imminant is self-defense, not vigilanteism.

Thanks for the plug. I am really excited about book two ... I believe it really adds to and improves on book one. It should be done next week, final draft in two and then on Amazon as a printed book and ebook in four weeks.

FYI, Breath of Fire is rated as #1 under "Mystery and Thrillers" at Amazon on the Adobe Reader list (1 out of 419 titles) using the following link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/557000/ref=br_bx_c_2_1/103-2581315-5501440

and #4 on the "Mystery and Thrillers" list at Amazon for the Microsoft Reader list (4 out of 596 titles) using the following link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/557074/ref=br_bx_c_2_1/103-2581315-5501440

Both have maintained there rankings in the top ten on these two lists for the last two weeks now. This has all happened pretty much word of mouth with exposure on FreeRepublic and of late in Shotgun News.

More very encouraging news. Now if only the printed version will experience a corresponding "bump". Guess we'll see what happens!

If you're just going to insult me, I'm not going to get into a discussion with you. Reread my post 122. WE destroyed the gun grabbing industry by getting together in grass-roots fashion (not because of the NRA) and said "That's IT. We've had enough!" And we voted the gun grabbers out. Yes, it takes a lot to shake people out of complacency. But it can be done. It was done after 9/11, and only went away because nothing else has happened since. But the whole nation's on edge; if it starts happening again, they will wake up, and they will know what they want and how to get it.

And yet, as we speak, the ATF,FBI,and the IRS are quietly conducting a war against American firearms enthusiasts.

These warnings are NOTHING but scare tactics to gain power.

There will always be blue on blue situations in every war. It is not pleasent as the onlything more devastating than enemy fire on your position is friendly fire zeroed on your position.

We will either defend ourselfves as a nation under arms or we shall perish as too stupid to survive. One of the basic truths the Founders of this Republic understood is that an armed citizenry will have so many troops available that deficencies in training will vis a vis their enemy will be rendered meaningless.

Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown
