Your post makes sense, but I wonder if halving
or quartering of the African population would do the trick.There is also the problem of intelligence. I rather believe that if the continent could be returned to its pre_empire state, therewould still be starvation. In those days the media did not cover such triviality.
If they had no one would have cared. Africa's best times were the imperialist era.

They could sustain themselves at current levels now. It is not about overpopulation. It is about Death by Government.

The food shortage has been caused by the leaders. This has nothing to do with the populations of these countries. The problems are explained in the article. The damns in Zimbabwe are full, the white farmers and their workers have been kicked off the land so it can be taken over by Mugabe and his cronies. He is refusing aid and selectively distributing available food to his supporters. He should be tried and punished for his crimes against humanity.
