To counter the growth of the movement, the military said it was pushing for the integration
of Islamic teachings into the Philippines public education system.

Yep, that's what the Christians should have done in Spain and at Vienna when
the benevolent Islamics paid their courtesy calls about 500 years (or so) ago.

Give them books in hopes they don't shoot, spear or bomb you.

Maybe that's a way to deal with dedicated terrorists...but I prefer steel.
