The snot-faced author's e-mail is bruce.wilson@newsint.co.uk -- perhaps he should be introduced to FReepers...

And, as he does, the US looks more and more to be a long way away from the rest of the world.

Bump for a good thing.

Ever notice the similarities between the overseas assessment of Bush's presidency and and that of Reagan's? I'm not saying GW is Reagan, but the world seems to need to bring the US president down a peg when he demonstrates any sort of fortitude.

This "article" displays a rant typical of the international numbskull: Bush is dumb, which is why Tom Cruise is right to fear white collar crime. This guy needs some medication.

Euro-Aussebarf Alert is right...big time!!! This entire article is nothing but a lot of incoherent babbling: bedbug...Tom Cruise...catatonic cat...Enron, blah, blah, blah...Doormouse (!?).

Somehow I was able to stay with him through all that to get to his main point:

Bush is listening to Rumsfeld, and other strange voices – not least the Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon.

Thanks for posting this. The true agenda of the loony left keeps making itself more and more apparent.

I forgot that corporate fraud is exclusively an American thing...ohhh except for that multi-billion dollar bankruptcy of that British Investment Bank... was it Barclay's?

What a loony freakin socialist mindset.

Where was government? Where was control?

I believe the government at the time was busy losing $6 billion in fraud in waste in a single department - the department of education.

Yep, we want the gov't involved in oversight of business.

Oh! Isn't that the definition of fascism? I'm sure this guy would be one of the first to call GW a fascist, and not realize that the namecaller himself is in support of such things.

Tom Cruise is worried about street crime, he ought to come back to the good ol' US of A, where street crime is a third of the level in the UK. Just recently, his neighbor was assaulted in her home and he personally went running after the thieves, who got $140,000 in jewels. Now, what he would've done, if he'd caught up to the thieves is another question, since handguns are outlawed in Britain. I guess he could stare angrily at the thugs.

You are exactly right. However, maybe we should pity him just a bit. I mean, it's obvious he is suffering from MPD. He was just a little confused when he wrote it. Rule #1 on writing or speaking when you you have MPD. Only let one personality at a time come out to play!

It amazes me that this author, as well as many other liberals, have the audacity to blame Bush for the corporate scandals that have taken place. When Bush became president, it's not as if these companies began their dishonest practices. In fact much of this began during the Clinton presidency. Whether liberals understand this or are just using it to hang Bush, the American public and the world as a whole has seemed to accept that Bush is responsible, even though he has been in office for lees than 2 years.

Mr. Cruise needs to worry about his movies and less on politics. Every now and then a popular person speaks up about something they have no clue about. The latest duet by Mr. Cruise and Mr. Spielberg should have been awesome but the numbers clearly show they're losing popularity in the movie department. Like I said, "Worry about your movies".

As for the Bush bashing. The Democrats want to overthrow Bush and this is their only tactic. Mr. Gore is super mad at the previous election and wants revenge. BOO HOO, get over it.

Sincerely,

Superfly

The author of this is so ignorant that I feel pity for him. He appears to get whatever political knowledge he thinks he has from some combination of comic strips, rock songs, and celebrity interviews. He didn't even make an actual discernible point in this article. It's clear that he sure does fancy himself quite the clever wordsmith, however.

Not worth the time I've already wasted on it.

I agree with this guy 100% - calling Bush a nitwit is too kind.

You agree with unsubstantiated name-calling. Fantastic. How old are you?

The author sure was good at calling Bush stupid, but he never actually got around to substantiating any criticisms of Bush. What has Bush done that the author disagrees with? Why is Bush wrong? The author doesn't say. Why? Because the author can't say, lacking sufficient knowledge and/or argumentative skills.

And you "agree with this guy". Fantastic.

Look, Bush has sent the economy into the dumper...

Look, what the heck does that mean? Bush is President, not "Economy Czar". The economy does not rise or fall depending on the mood or charms of the President or how much he pleases you. Further, if you think that Bush has done something to harm the economy, then go ahead, please tell us all what Bush did, and why it was wrong, and how it harmed the economy. Details, please.

Don't just toss out cartoonish characterizations like "Bush sent the economy into the the dumper". For all the rational content of this statement you may as well be saying "Bush failed to please the Economy Gods and now they seek vengeance". Is pseudo-paganistic mysticism really the extent of your analysis, or do you have anything rational to say?

if it wasn't for his War on Terrorism, his poll ratings would be in the teens!

This may or may not be true. Counterfactual hypotheticals are not very informative. Relevance?
