UN staff are biggest users of prostitutes

EXCLUSIVE
By Magin McKenna

International peace keepers with big pay checks in their pockets and time on their hands keep nearly 50% of all prostitutes in Bosnia and Kosovo in business and pay the most for their services.

A report issued this weekend by the United Nations Children's Fund, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, finds that the billion dollar sex trade is so rife in the region that an estimated 200,000 women have been trafficked into south-eastern Europe in 2000, with a third of them under the age of 18, to meet the appetites of the international peacekeepers.

The report also concludes that UN International police officers might be involved in the sex trafficking business and that in Kosovo a number have been repatriated for suspected involvement.

The report confirms fears that UN personnel in the Balkans have fuelled a growing problem of illegal trafficking of women and girls. 'Every year, tens or even hundreds of thousands of people -- most of them women and children from less privileged countries -- are exploited, sold, tricked and forced into situations of exploitation. These people are abused as commodities by a transnational criminal industry, which has already generated billions of dollars.'

Human trafficking has become the world's third biggest criminal business, compounded in south-eastern Europe by the instability of governments and an increase in poverty left in the wake of Communism's collapse.

In the Balkans, weakened economies and a lack of employment has left the sex industry as the only known area of work for women and adolescents trafficked from other countries.

According to the report, the countries of the former Yugoslavia became an attractive destination for trafficked women because of the increased number of peacekeeping forces who have more money to spend, deficient legislation and corrupt local authorities who are easily bribed, or are customers themselves.

'Croatia, in which the economic situation is relatively better and where there is no large international presence, does not appear to be a major country of origin or destination

Ultra left wing media types may report on the UN use of prostitutes in Bosnia but, if they just weren't liberal extremist hacks, they would report on the use by high UN officials of prostitutes in NEW YORK CITY.

The delegates to the UN in NYC and the middle to senior UN staff in NYC represent a bunch of third (fourth and fifth, as well) world hicks who have diplomatic immunity and pocket wealth beyond belief. Sure, they are supporting mistresses and their families, and literally, villages of their fellow tribesmen, but the have stolen enough cash from the UN and those wishing to influence the UN, to be able to party with some of NYC's top of the line hookers.

The corruption and debauchery of the UN folks in NYC is beyond belief and, at least some of it, pretty visible. Visible enough that it is amazing that the New York Times has never done a story criticizing the behavior of these UNers. The answer, of course, is that the NYT is as anti-American as is the UN. Both organizations await the advent of a world where the US has much less clout.

My 2¢'s about the un?

American Policy Center on-line Declaration of Independence from the U.N.

Also, I recall that the un has one or more "contingency sites" located in other nations... let's banish them there--

That's a great point. The UN issue here is key. When US forces in WW II spent time in Pacific ports, or later in Korea, or Vietnam, they never took part in anything like this.

Thank God this only happens when the UN is involved and that servicemen from America have never been known to frequent this type of activity when overseas.

The headline referring to "UN Staff" was perhaps a tiny bit misleading; these are probably not diplomatic bureaucrats but rather soldiers, provided by member countries, for the UN "peace keeping" troops. In just about every war I can imagine, the bulk of the soldiers were young men, full of hormones, taken away from their communities and their usual outlets and inhibitions. It's a pleasant surprise, maybe, that they are paying for sex, presumably from willing women, instead of forcibly raping unwilling women.

Please don't tell me that if it weren't for the EE-VIL UN and its peacekeeping missions, soldiers would never patronize prostitutes...

"UN staff are biggest users of prostitutes"

It seems like the globalist elites are having a party with all the money being given to the U.N.
