I'm not sorry to see that Jew-bashing libel pulled, but I think everyone should take a look at the site it was posted from. Not only do they want to take over the American Southwest as a "Hispanic Homeland", but they are right up there with the middle eastern press in obsessively slandering Jews.

I live smack dab in the center of the territory they claim. I wonder how long it will be before we see overt acts of terrorism aimed at obtaining 'land for peace'. If anyone thinks that letting Israel succumb is an option, just take a look at what awaits us when that tactic is proven to be a winning one.

I agree with you. I read the initial thread, and it needed to be pulled, in my opinion. They openly refer to the southwestern United States as "Aztlan" and are openly anti-semetic. There are large groups of people actively converting Mexican nationals into Muslims as well. Many people are attempting to turn Mexico into another PLO-type situation, and the scenario is frightening. I do think they are in the minority, however.

I read that article. I wouldn't be too worried about these chumps, they can't even put together a decent website and scrolling down the "article" list it looks like it's 5 people. That's one of the bad parts about the web, any chump that can pay for a server can look like an army. I too live in the middle of the supposed Reconquista territories and encounter more fear of it on FR than support of it (or even knowledge of it) out in the world. Like so many "movements" of the 60's it seems to be primarily a loose collection of people with too much time and too many psychoactives.

As far as the Reconquista is concerned, this bunch is muy loco. The people they see as driving their little revolución fled north for a reason. They are unlikely to form a new government that resembles what they ran away from. However, this group's virulent anti-Semitism bears watching. That particular trait, of course, is also present in our nation's enemies. It wouldn't surprise me to one day see Islamic terrorists employ the Aztlanists as "useful idiots".

I don't really give them too much credit for being a serious threat, but as the 'Mecha' movement gains critical mass I think they will spawn some SLA-type terrorist cells. Not a real threat to the country itself, but certainly one to individuals in their vicinity, like the white boys who want their own homeland up in Idaho. Mostly they just piss me off. They do have groups at most universities, it seems.

I live in a neighborhood mostly made up of Mexican immigrants, and I don't think too many of them will fall for this kind of crap, but exposing the movement for what it really is can only do good.

I lived in Houston for almost 20 years. In the last decade, there was a huge influx of Mexican/Central American immigrants. I was starting to feel like a stranger in a strange land, like an unwanted interloper. We left 3 years ago to a less "diverse" place.

I briefly scanned your link. I don't understand why they would hate Jews. I would imagine most Mexicans wouldn't be familiar with what a Jewish person even is! But just by sheer numbers alone, they are already taking over.

I don't think Mecha is gaining much of anything. As a movement it's been around forever (Hunter S. Thompson's attorney in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was big into the movement) and it doesn't seem to have changed much over the last 30+ years. Generally made of up university idiots, kind of like the black seperatist movement only with better food at their gatherings.

Most of the immigrants I know are well aware of the fact that they live in America not in Mexico and can give you a couple of hours as to why that is and why they'd go further north if Mexico expanded.

But Disco Stu don't advertise... which is actually why I use this handle everywhere people obscure their identity, kind of a sideways joke about anonymity.

The LA New Times had an article about Voz de Aztlan about six months ago. This guy reprints wild anti-Jewish stuff, some of it clearly gotten from either KKK-type or Arabic sources, and some Arabic papers in the Middle East thereupon reprint his stuff as if it came from a reliable news source.

That is the conclusion I have come to. For whatever reason, Jews as a group tend to be intelligent and successful in life. They love their families and make excellent parents, excuse the stereotyping, but more than other groups, they are that way. How I would have loved to have had a Jewish mother! LOL!

I believe Jew-hatred has more to do with envy and resentment. People who do not do well in life want to blame their problems on others. The same goes with some minority groups who want to blame their problems on whites. And since Jews tend to do the best, they are easy to envy and to blame. Of course there are some Jews who are bad people, like in any other group. People then focus on the few bad ones, and want to think all Jews are bad as a result. It really isn't fair. I just thought is was peculiar that a group of Mexicans would hate Jews, sort of like Americans hating New Zealanders or something.

Same as the Nation of Islam. You wouldn't really expect blacks to hate Jews but there are certain instigators who have convinced some to hate them.
