He's right! the memory of 9-11 WILL fade from people's memories, and indeed it already has started. It's hard to concentrate of our s0-called War on Terror because so much time and energy is spent yelling about protecting the rights of the animals caged in Gitmo and Johnny Taliban and Jose Padilla...and all the hysterical shreiks against ethnic profiling and jumpstarting the mid-east "peace process". Lets drop the charges against Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, because the people on his plane were mean to him. And so on and so on ad nauseum. The victims families still bear fresh wounds, and alwasy will, and most of us on Free Republic will NEVER forget...but I don't think we represent the general public, sad to say.

Sad, but true. A few will never forget, most are trying to forget, too many have already forgotten.
