To: All

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife,

I'd thank my lucky stars
To be living here today,

'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today,

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee,

Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.,

There's pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today,

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

~ Lee Greenwood ~

Have a very happy, safe, and FUN Independence Day with your friends and family!!!

Just be sure and take a minute to remember why we all live free and be proud of our Country and what it stands for.

Thank you for that great tribute. Every time I hear that song I tear up. When my husband was still active duty Air Force that song was played at all the functions we went to and everybody stood up and sang right along with Lee Greenwood. I'm glad to see that patriotic feeling coming back and I hope it never goes away.

Just got home from seeing Windtalkers as my way of remembering those who fought and died for our freedom.

And we bought a new flag as our old one has faded to pink from being out 24/7 since 9-11. I'll go out soon and replace it, and fold the old one for the fire department.

Happy Independence Day, Freedom Lovers!
