" Israeli officials said they would consider the attack an act of terror unless it was proven otherwise."

At least one government has it right. Why does our own Govt. keep lying to us and trying to convince us that terrorist attacks are not terrorist attacks. Also: One MILLION Muslims in Southern California? Holy Mackerel! Now there's a scary thought!!!

Did you see the mayor of L.A. complaining that the shooting at LAX shows the problems that arise because people in our society has easy access to so many guns. No shame.

Here's parts of an article from a paper local to you which has some facts I don't think reported elsewhere:

LAX shooter full of anger

".... Irvine police Lt. Dave Freedland said Hadayet had three contacts with the department -- a domestic dispute with his wife in 1996, as a robbery victim in 1997 and as a victim in a grand theft involving the unauthorized use of an access card last November.

Neighbor Pam Danilewitcz said Hadayet had a Mercedes-Benz, a Jaguar and a white stretch limousine. She said she used to see him washing his cars.

"Over the past year, the limo disappeared," she said. "It was not around, whether he sold it or lost it. We ran into him in court last year. He'd gotten a ticket. All of a sudden the limo disappeared."

Hadayet's state limousine permit, issued in August 1997, was revoked in November when he failed to maintain insurance papers on file with the state, the Public Utilities Commission said.

Hadayet, who also went by the last name Ali, was identified when the FBI ran his thumbprint through the database of the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Authorities said Hadayet had two California driver's licenses, one of which was expired and identified him with the last name of Ali.

Department of Motor Vehicles spokesman Bill Branch said the Ali license was fraudulently obtained in 1993, one year after Hadayet received a legitimate license in his real name. Hadayet listed July 4 as his birthday on one of his two licenses. The other date was April 7, which in some countries is written as 4/7, and could have been interpreted as July 4. Both licenses gave his year of birth as 1961.

____________

And another story, which I don't think has been posted:

Victims mourned across Valley

....Hen graduated in 1995 from Birmingham High School -- the same campus attended by slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl -- then worked for Knoller's security company, and as accountant and medical office manager, before going to work for El Al
