Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan says American Muslims are praying for an Iraqi victory in a war with the United States, according to Iraq's state-run media.
Farrakhan held meetings over the weekend in Baghdad with Iraqi officials on a "solidarity" trip billed as an effort to avoid a U.S. military campaign against dictator Saddam Hussein, United Press International and the Washington Times reported.
Farrakhan held talks with Islamic Affairs Minister Abdul Munem Saleh on "ways to confront the American threats against Iraq," Iraqi News Agency reported.
Saleh was quoted as urging a worldwide effort by Muslims to "expose the American and Zionist crimes toward the people of Iraq and Palestine."
The agency quoted the black Muslim leader as saying "the Muslim American people are praying to the almighty God to grant victory to Iraq."
A State Department official said he was aware of the news but was not prepared to comment.
'Not a Muslim Outfit'
One of America's leading Muslim organizations today denounced Farrakhan's comments as "outrageous."
"Of course, he does not represent our views or the views of American Muslims," Faiz Rehman, a spokesman for American Muslim Council, told CNSNews.com.
"The mainstream American Muslim community does not consider the Nation of Islam as part of the Muslim community. They claim they have the name of Islam attached to them, but they are not Muslims. Nation of Islam is not a Muslim outfit," Rehman said.

Correct. It presents an excellent opportunity for Bush to set a precedent. Imagine the muslims of America trying to protest Bush just grabbing him for uniting with Iraq against the US. If they made one threat or attempt to rally for his release, he could round them up to.

Brother Louie is a hoot. I guess his near-death-experience must have been forgotten. I guess Bro Louie made his choice, he's with the terrorists, so it stands to reason that the FBI should raid his crib and try to determine why he's dissin' the MAN.
What an anal orfice.

Can you spell "sedition?"
He is a traitor, and is trying to incite rebellion. Last time I checked.. that was called "sedition" or "seditious" language.

Also, last night on Hannity and Colmes,..Alan Colmes said "Wouldn't it be be nice if he (Farrakan) could get peace in the Middle East?" Someone should show this to Colmes. I'd love to see his response to it..since he seems to want to encourage Farrakan!!!

Verify he said it and deny his entry back into the country for collaborating with the enemy, as defined by President Bush in his 'Axis of Evil' speech.

He should be barred from returning to this country. He is a traitor and a comforter of our enemy.

Bashing America isn't any fun unless you can suck off of the very freedom it provides.

Until we stop allowing this kind of treasonous behavior, this kind of sedition, we will continue to harbor the creeps who think this way. It is a dangerous path we go down in allowing Terrorists to find shelter here in America.
Farrakan is a terrorist!! He is "with" them!
