It's almost as if there is a movement to destroy the old idea of marriage. I wonder what's next? No prayer in schools in America? Legal prostitution? NAMBLA? Maybe gay couples adopting and raising children? Or next there could be a US President shagging an intern his daughter's age.

There definitely is. Today after exercise class, I plopped on couch, turned on TV, and got engrossed in Oprah. Guests were women, mostly in their 20s, who ballyhoo being "sexually free" to do what they want, with whomever they please" as often as they "choose" and resist "labels" like bisexual or swinger.

They are proud they are the aggressors, proud that they do not give a damn about old-fashioned feelings of love, devotion, commitment. Acting like perfect sluts while resisting the label, they're apparently pervading society. Some were quite pretty, nicely dressed, don't look like Jerry Springer material, but they are.

Ironically, the only young woman who made any sense at all was daughter of 70s sexual freedom activist woman who wrote book Our Bodies Ourselves...This young woman said she had no need whatsoever to "act sexy." And she had two parents, married to each other. All of the other young women on the show made sex, and lots of it, priority in their lives. Not one mentioned hope of getting married, raising a family. They are only interested in tomorrow's orgasm(s). And naturally, they all said their mothers were hopeless out of step with the times.

Horrible people, but I'm glad I happened to catch the show. Oprah looked as appalled as I felt, BTW.
