President Bush headed to Minnesota today to participate in a roundtable discussion on Prescription Drugs and Medical Innovation at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He also renewed his call for prescription drug coverage in Medicare. Later in the evening, Bush attended fund-raisers for former Minneapolis Mayor Norm Coleman and Republican Candidate for Congress Colonel John Kline. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

We're just glad you saw the light and is on the Right now. I like what Frank Lundt said, something to the effect that we have never been assaulted all at the same time in our military, financial and the church. These are definately trying times, but I like the fact that this quote is still in effect.

After the Declaration of Independence was signed, Virginia statesman John Page wrote to Thomas Jefferson: '... Do you not think an Angel rides in the Whirlwind and directs this Storm?' ... [Bush:] This work continues. This story goes on. And an angel still rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm. — George W. Bush, Inaugural Address, 2001-01-20 CE

Our key is not to allow the anger and bitterness that we all feel towards those who are being used to destroy this country to hinder our prayers and our effectiveness. Easy to type but harder to live.

My prayers are with you who are on Capitol Hill and know how to fight and win, those in the news mediums I pray for fresh new approachs of countering the lies and misinformation, and those of us not sure what to do-PRAY, God knows what we have need of before we even ask. His eyes goes to and fro throughout the whole earth looking for those He may show Himself strong on their behalf.

Thanks for posting the latest CBS/NYT poll on Bush showing that his numbers are up from before they began the Democrat assault on his character.

(Sorry did not get this Psalm on last night - but hope everyone can read through it - in its totality today - and carry it with us through the day - it is good!)

This Psalm - 31 - is so appropriate for the President and the attacks he is enduring at this time. Read it out loud every time you are full of anger and outrage at the attacks. And "pray the scriptures" = Read this before the Lord in prayer holding it up to Him in supplication and intercession for the President and all those who are working in our government for the good of the country and not for themselves.

Psalm 31

The LORD a Fortress in Adversity

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

1 In You, O LORD, I put my trust;
        Let me never be ashamed;
        Deliver me in Your righteousness.
        2Bow down Your ear to me,
        Deliver me speedily;
        Be my rock of refuge,
        A fortress of defense to save me.

        3For You are my rock and my fortress;
        Therefore, for Your name's sake,
        Lead me and guide me.
        4Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
        For You are my strength.
        5Into Your hand I commit my spirit;
        You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

        6I have hated those who regard useless idols;
        But I trust in the LORD.
        7I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy,
        For You have considered my trouble;
        You have known my soul in adversities,
        8And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy;
        You have set my feet in a wide place.

        9Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am in trouble;
        My eye wastes away with grief,
        Yes, my soul and my body!
        10For my life is spent with grief,
        And my years with sighing;
        My strength fails because of my iniquity,
        And my bones waste away.
        11I am a reproach among all my enemies,
        But especially among my neighbors,
        And am repulsive to my acquaintances;
        Those who see me outside flee from me.
        12I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind;
        I am like a broken vessel.
        13For I hear the slander of many;
        Fear is on every side;
        While they take counsel together against me,
        They scheme to take away my life.

        14But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD;
        I say, "You are my God."
        15My times are in Your hand;
        Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
        And from those who persecute me.
        16Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
        Save me for Your mercies' sake.
        17Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You;
        Let the wicked be ashamed;
        Let them be silent in the grave.
        18Let the lying lips be put to silence,
        Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

        19Oh, how great is Your goodness,
        Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
        Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
        In the presence of the sons of men!
        20You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
        From the plots of man;
        You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
        From the strife of tongues.

        21Blessed be the LORD,
        For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city!
        22For I said in my haste,
        "I am cut off from before Your eyes";
        Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications
        When I cried out to You.

        23Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints!
        For the LORD preserves the faithful,
        And fully repays the proud person.
        24Be of good courage,
        And He shall strengthen your heart,
        All you who hope in the LORD.

Amen, Swheats!, to all you said. The harder the enemy attaacks, the more united in prayer and praise His people become. This battle is a spiritual one, no different from Nov of 2000 or Sept 11, 2001. The enemy wants the President and our country destroyed. We will unite and fight through PRAYER AND ACTION - and let God be God and handle the results. Pray for His Spirit to be at work in the lives of individuals throughout the world.

I am convinced the shrillness of the attacks is because the enemy has been dealt a terrific blow by the Miracle of the 2000 election of an authentic Christian President of the USA after all the years of Clinton debauchery and crimes. I am going to post something I heard yesterday from D. James Kennedy's Truths that Transform program. I will try to ping everyone to it.

Our God is the ONe True God, a sure fortress in times of trouble! Praise His Holy Name!

I haven't seen any of Norm. He's probably heavily featured in local Minn. papers though. Let me take a look-see. Not too sure how he's doing in the polls either.

And these:

Check this out! An Afghani women got in the face of a Bush supporter over the war on terrorism. I would have decked her.

rintense, as always, thank you. Our President is under such scurrilous attack, but he still looks great - I think he knows how much he is loved and respected by the majority of Americans. That, coupled with his unshakeable religious faith and the love of his wife and family, will get him through it.

rintense, Pic #3 in this Post reminds me of when President Reagan used to cup his hand to his ear and pretend he couldn't hear the reporters' nattering, inane questions. Ya just gotta love it!!

I am convinced that Klayman is working for the democrats...or he is insane. Either way, he must be removed from the public arena.

Klayman is thrilled to be getting overwhelming amounts of attention from ABC,NBC,and CBS. Britt Hume said they NEVER mentioned "Judicial Watch" whenever Klayman sued Clinton. Klayman will get money from Democrats so that he can continue to hound Cheney.

I've been working on a letter to the editor in defense of Bush and tracing the financial scandals back to Clinton. The paper limits letters to only 200 words, and so far, I can't get it down to that. I like the way Anne Coulter quotes Democrats and hangs them with their own words!

I've believed for a long time that Democrats will do ANYTHING to destroy Bush, Cheney and Republicans. My congressman, Pat Toomey, a great conservative, is like a choirboy in comparison to those vicious vultures. I volunteered during his last campaign, and he always stuck to the ISSUES. He never attacked Democrats.

Agree on all - is your Congressman running this year? If not, who is running in his place?

Here something I heard yesterday about Gephardt. He was given a loan to his campaign from a bank Terry McAuliffe was the president of, while also being the chief fundraiser for Gephardt. Some say that violates federal law.

This was on the Brit Hume show yesterday

My congressman is running again this year. The first time he ran he said he would limit himself to three terms, and this is his last. People would like to see him run for the Senate next time, so we can get rid of Arlen Specter.

Gephardt and McAuliffe need to be sued. I guess Klayman is NOT INTERESTED in suing them.

Good to hear! Well if this is true - he should try to locate someone to run in his place with similar views - and, I do hope, he will run for the Senate. You are very fortunate to have such a Congressman!

Yeah. I'm sorry, but friend or foe, when someone gets in my face like that, they are not going to like the response they get from me.

I agree wholeheartedly, BG. That one really got to me, too. The Bush supporter/young lady looks more composed than I would have been. The Afghani "woman" would have gotten a full-body slam from me. The gall. Here she is, living in OUR country, enjoying the freedoms OUR people have fought and died for. HRRRUMPH. GAG.
