Only the peroxided blondes are dumb! I am very predominantly half Swedish, and my IQ is -- high. I am far from dumb. I have three college degrees. I graduated with one of the "cum laudes" every time. I am not, and have never been, accustomed to getting below 4.0 without it upsetting me greatly. I have lost my 4.0 before, and it ate me up, because I made stupid mistakes on my exams, and because I am a bloody perfectionist. Dumb blonde?? Uh-uh. I get very upset with that cliche. I shouldn't, but I do. It's a pet peeve. The "dumb blonde" jokes were funny for the first 20 years of their existence. They have lost their charm now.
Nothing directed toward you personally, Linda. It's my problem. I just don't think those jokes are funny anymore. Some were, at first. Now -- they only raise my blood pressure. I can't help that I was born blonde.

I don't know if I should weigh in here or not! My daughter Tracy is a very blonde blonde.....naturally. When I spend more time in the sun, my hair is lightened very easily, but it is light brown, I'd say. So is my sister's although she has had her hair lightened for years. And she is incredibly bright...a doctor. My blonde daughter collects blonde jokes because she gets a big kick out of them. She is also very bright. I think most of them are very funny, but there are some that are meant to be degrading and hurtful, just like anything else in the world. But they are jokes. Ignore them. They have no foundation in reality regardless of whether or not someone is truly blonde or a bottle blonde. Brains are not something one gets dependent on their hair color. My dad was born with very blonde hair and had blonde hair as a child. He died with very dark hair. I think he had the same brains the whole time! :))) Love ya, Beep! :)))))
