I think it's funny too. And more often than not, I'm pretty sure I am nuts.

Is there a more politically correct term for the mental condition known as "lacking a sense of humor?"

Roasted Nuts! LMAO! Man we conservatives have some fun in life. These commie/libs never see humor in anything. What a curse they've brought upon themselves. FE, they deserve it.

Believe me, I have a ridiculous sense of humor and I can see the humor in the headline, but if my grandma was in there with senile dementia, I could see how it wouldn't be very funny.

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill is not so sure. "This goes beyond irresponsibility. It's almost unfathomable," policy director Ron Honberg said yesterday. "Yes, media deadlines present a close call. But I'm shocked. This is one of the worst examples of prejudice and discrimination toward people with mental illnesses in recent memory." Frosted Flakes

These guys have a great sense of humor.
When you call their office and they put you on hold, they play "Crazy" by Patsy Cline.

It's completely unprofessional. It may be funny (especially to those who don't know someone who has been hospitalised for a mental illness), but it's still unprofessional.

This thread should be deleted IMHO. Too many insenstive creeps use this site to make fun of people who are in pain.
Wonder what your comments would be there was a newpaper headline making fun of the little girl who was murdered in California - bet a lot of the people on FR would think that was a laugh riot too.

While the headline was in poor taste (seeing as someone could have lost their life in the fire), calling someone nuts who is nuts is no reason to censor discussion about it. If we couldn't discuss things that upset people we'd never be able to discuss anything.
Face it, some people will always think some things are funny. At the very least this was a humorous play on words.

Does anyone know the details of the most famous headline in journalism history?
An inmate of an insane asylum escaped and then went on a rape spree. The next day's banner headline?
