WASHINGTON, DC, Jul 19, 02 (CWNews.com) - The US Senate on Thursday passed a bill protecting children born alive from being killed-- even if it the child is born during an abortion. The bill now goes to the White House for President George W. Bush's signature. The Senate passed the bill unanimously and was passed by the House in March.
The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act would amend the legal definitions of "person," "human being," "child," and "individual" to include a live birth that has occurred as part of an abortion. Supporters of the law noted numerous documented instances of children born during abortions who were left to die or were smothered by doctors.
(You watch.. this sounds like a big nothing right now.. but give it a few years to develop a precedent and to ward off legal challenges, then we will go bash some people over the head with it.)
Try that now and they'll be up for murder charges, as they should be. What else can you call it??
Just how ironic is that?
 Words fail..
Kind of like the meaning of "is".
Even the liberals in the Senate voted for it, perhaps a hint of a conscience exists after all.
If it doesn't, it ought to. Sure is sad though how often that happens.
Don't give them that much credit. It's all about politics.

As predicted, NOW's feminazi warriors are losing their clout as more and more of the baby boom generation gradually begin having grand-children (thus heralding a Conservative shift in their thinking). Ten years ago they would have fought this bill tooth and nail. As recently as five years ago they may have even won.

Score another victory for the pro-Life crowd. We've still got a long way to go, but at least we are heading in the right direction.
And the only reason we do hear these stories is because nurses, who disagreed with the practice, spoke out. How many nurses or other support staff do NOT disagree, or don't have the courage to come forward?
Not yet, but I won't be suprised in the least if my illustrious representative Hillary did.
