What are the actual percentages for welfare and defense spending?

I don't know the real numbers are, I'm sure I could find out by a simple Google search.

BUT, I know it is not .05 % for welfare and 48% for defense.

BTW, I wish those numbers were correct.

Defense takes around 20% of the budget (FY'01 $330B. Health and Human Services takes about 30% of the budget (FY '01 $430B). Social Security is an "off budget" item, but is also right at FY'01 $430B. However, Welfare is a state responsibility. The states get only about a third of their funds from the federal government. 20 minutes of Google searches and a handy Almanac couldn't get me any more concrete numbers, though.
