FORT LAUDERDALE

Truth is, liberals are some of the most racist people I know.
Huh? Would complaints about the Klan be unfair to Night Riders? Bias is bias, regardless whom it favors. And don't give me a lot of Orwellian crap about unequal being equal and slavery setting you free.
What I wanted was to be able to go home or out of town and sleep at night, knowing that the work was being done as well as if I were there.
I hired men and women; black, white, Asian people--whatever; homosexuals; fat people; at least one ex-convict; at least two people with AIDS; mentally ill people; alcoholics; at least one person with inoperable cancer. The only thing that mattered was whether I could trust them to do the job reliably and to standards of excellence.
I was very successful.
At one point I did become concerned that there might be discrimination against white men. The supervisor was a white woman, her assistant a black woman. I met with them and expressed this concern. They convinced me that there was no cause for concern.
There's some adage sometimes posted in law offices about how in hell there will be many laws, strictly enforced, but in heaven or heaven on earth there will be few laws, seldom enforced.
One thing I really didn't like about living in "Liberal" enclaves--Marin County comes to mind--is that laws are numerous and enforcement selective. The untimate and unintended result is injustice.
This is a major problem with "Liberals" and the "Liberal" mindset. Those who are truly concerned about justice become so focused on good intentions that they loose sight of final outcome; the result is pavement for the Road to Hell. Those who are angry and intent on some kind of revenge or retribution use the good intentions of the others to misguide them. The result again is the Road to Hell.
"Liberals"--whether they be scoundrels or fools, and they are certain to be one or the other--wind up dragging us all down that well known, well paved Road to Hell--some intentionally--some despite their good intentions.
In the final analysis--the work of "Liberals" is the work of scoundrels and fools and their results injustice.
Roger that. Hi Annie.
The sheep continued chewing the grass.
I have noticed many "conservatives" bending over backwards into a "U" shape to prove how they are not racist, never had a racist bone in their body, and by the way, "would any of you like to have my daughter?"
The cost has been to create and reinforce negative stereotypes about blacks, to inculcate in them a helpless victim mentality,
Excellent observation!!!
I work in California with almost all new immigrant Asian peoples.(East Indians, Chinese, and Vietnamese -- now in government terms they are all "Asian" and all qualify for some sort of minority status even though they are in the majority.(I think these immigrant groups are hired because they work for less than Americans.)) I am shocked how quickly these various peoples new to the US catch on to the game and start "pulling the race card" and the victim mentality.
So part of the legacy of the black liberation is "perceived possible racism" that can be prosecuted and the government has enough lawyers to make it difficult to make rational business decisions about hiring, firing and promotions. This is not in the government but the private sector. With so many race cards being pulled out of the deck all the time it is difficult to get a good game going.
Where will this racial preference stupidity end?
Blacks do not associate with whites. ... It is very uncomfortable to walk down a hall and not one black in a group to look at you or talk to you."
I now think this is a natural tendency in human behavior. What led me to this conclusion was a documentary I stumbled onto in the wee hours of the morning years ago. It was a special on the making of The Planet of the Apes movies. (I must have been desperate for something to watch on the TV.) One of the people from the studio was describing the enormous effort to do the makeup for the apes. Once an actor or actress was in costume, they couldn't take it off for the rest of the (long) day. They ate in costume and all breaks were in costume.
She said that within 2 days a strange thing occurred. At breaktime or at mealtime you would see all the orangutans gathered together, all the chimps congregated, and all the gorillas socializing with gorillas.
It wasn't that they were sharing the same parts of the script. The script usually called for mixtures of apes. Also, people were not associating with their friends, if the friend was costumed as another species.
I've pondered this for years as I've watched human behavior. I have concluded this is some innate part of the human brain, to associate with those who are more like you.
Dude! You are not thinking today. "Them" exert a great deal of power and influence over your life. Once it is just "them" you are royally screwed. Rethink that sentiment for your own best interests, please.
