The Bush Administration must wake up and carry out thier mandate to protect us from all threats, foreign and domestic. I am very down on Bush and his "Talk loudly and carry a twig" style.
Guillermo, I must of have missed it, would you mind pointing to your source where someone in the Bush administration has characterized anyone for any reason as "neo-nazi" or "McCarthyite".
Thank you.
Bush's "concerted effort" is just smoke.
Foreign students, muslims, Chinese, even Arabs, come in just as before, by the hundred-thousand.
State Department calls Burton a Nazi for just wanting to tighten up the illegal immigration A LITTLE bit.
Bush is just a BS artist, in the same vein as X42: "The era of big Government is over..." =..."concerted effort..."
SSDD.
The people want to engage, it is the Wimp-in-Chief who doesn't.
State basically wants to maintain the status quo, even after 9/11. Why? either they are totally infiltrated or they are just your typical, effeminate, liberal, America-hating snobs of the Ivy League genre.
They have not been punished for calling Burton those two things.
Nor will they be, because Bush is one of them.
WASHINGTON, July 17 (UPI) -- Top State Department officials have accused Republican House leaders and White House officials of McCarthyism and neo-Nazism for criticizing the visa system's failures, the Washington Times reported Thursday.
Thank you for providing enough information to do a google search.
It would appear that these State Department Officials are calling the White House officials by the same names. So, it would seems we could say that the Bush Administration is calling itself neo-nazis, or would it make more sense that a career bureaucrat in the State Department is speaking for himself?
Would it be safe to say there are some working in the State Department that do not like President Bush and would speak ill of him and his administration? Rather than accuse the administration of calling critics neo-nazis it would be more accurate to say some in the State Department have called critics neo-nazis.
In an ideal world, the President would be able to clean house over in the State Department, but this is not an ideal world, and I am sure the President has other things on his plate just now.
All visas from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Iran, and Afghanistan should have been cancelled on 9/12.
This is perfectly legal, and is within the discretion of the State Department.
Holders of the canceled visas should have been concentrated within 48 hours, and deported within two weeks.
I cannot fathom why this was not done, why it is not being done now, and why it isn't planned for next week.
Amazing.
Seems to me, though, that this is the steak on his plate.
If State is this rat's nest of subversives and liberals, the reason we cannot secure our borders, and thus, the ultimate cause of our lax national security against terrorists, then it should be jobs one, two, and three for W.
The "it's not an ideal world" argument is a cop-out, IMHO.,
Think for a minute how stringently the IRS enforces its tax laws against you and me, and how stringently the INS enforces the immigration laws against the millions of illegals. Do you notice a difference?
How come it's an ideal world when the IRS comes-a-knocking, but its all "imperfect world...etc.", when we simply ask the fountainhead of illegal arabs, chinese, and mexican aliens to be controlled?
Why are some laws impossible to enforce, and others, enforced flawlessly?
Any ideas? Regards, caddie.
I never thought he was so primitive and so selfish, but, his behavior towards the Mexicans, etc., to curry their favor and get reelected, is simply despicable.
He is every bit as bad as Clinton or Carter.
He is a terrible POTUS.
And remember my words when, heaven forbid, some dirty nuke goes off in Chicago or New York: It went off so George Bush could curry favor with minorities in a misguided attempt to get a second term, for his personal ego trip.
Knowing the system is not perfect, does not make me lose faith in it. What is the alternative?
As for what is going on now and what appears to be non-action by President Bush, I beleive there is more going on then we know. I also beleive that once open and full fledge hostilities break out, including more terrorist act within our borders, we will see some action concerning unwelcomed guest, and our open borders.
And so I am willing to wait and see what happens. How long will I wait? At least another year. We should know by then if President Bush has what it takes to solve this problem.
Or that there was some elegant plan to cinch down our borders, after allowing millions more Chinese, Arab, and Mexicans come in, with impunity, as before.
But there is no such grand scheme or philosophy.
There is just sloth, cowardice, indifference, and narcissism on the part of Bush, who wants desperately to be perceived as a "good guy," as everybody's friend, including illegal aliens', so that he can get reelected.
And it is saddening to come to that realization, after initially being a Bush supporter, and after voting for Bush, and protesting publicly during the Gore-Bush face-off after the election.
And sad after seeing him come out so strongly and unequivocally against terrorism, right after September 11.
I thought it would go without saying that sealing the borders and rounding up illegals would be the highest priority.
But he lets in more and more illegals, from all over the globe, and wants to give amnesty to millions more here, just so he can be "a good guy" and get reelected.
It is sickening, and it is the opposite of his job description.
I guess we will jsut have to wait and see how it all turns out.
Good day, I off to look at some other threads.
