A Little Rock official involved with the planning of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library suggested Friday that New York Sen. Hillary Clinton may already be planning her own presidential library.
In an interview with the Washington Times, Little Rock Parks Director Bryan Day revealed that he has approved the library site for the ex-president's burial, should Mr. Clinton decide to exercise that option.
But when asked whether any provisions had been made for Mrs. Clinton to be buried on the library grounds along with her husband, Day said no.
Instead the parks director said the former first lady would likely be buried "at her own presidential library."
The first Clinton presidential library is designed to hold a small chapel and a burial facility worthy of a state funeral, Day said, where burial would be allowed under Arkansas law even though the grounds have been zoned as a city park.
Day's prediction that Mrs. Clinton will be interred at her own presidential library was delivered with a "smirk," the Times said. But news that the former first couple intends to be buried separately is sure to give rise to a new round of speculation about their marriage.
In a just released interview, former Clinton insider Dick Morris tells NewsMax.com that the millions of dollars raised by for the Clinton Library amounts to "a slush fund," with at least part of the cash earmarked to bankroll Mrs. Clinton's eventual presidential run.
Meanwhile, there's fresh speculation that she may be angling for the number two spot on the Democratic Party's 2004 presidential ticket.
"The push by Democratic National Chairman Terry McAuliffe to make New York City the site for the party's 2004 national convention is viewed with suspicion by Democratic insiders who worry about a movement to give Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York the vice-presidential nomination," reports columnist Robert Novak.
Democrats opposed to a Hillary vice presidential run argue that, since McAuliffe was handpicked by the former first couple to run the party, any convention on the Clintons' home turf will see them again dominate the proceedings.
"There is no doubt that the 2004 convention site is in McAuliffe's hands, and hardly more doubt that he will pick New York," Novak says.
Bolstering his prediction is a reported dinner meeting between McAuliffe and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, which the New York Post said took place on Wednesday at "Jimmy's Uptown" restaurant.
Bloomberg, who switched to the Republican Party just before Mrs. Clinton was elected to the Senate, has steadfastly refused to reveal whether he voted for her or her Republican opponent, Rick Lazio.

I think we're somewhere between DON'T PANIC and OK, PANIC.
Good thought, HLL. I was thinking that being tossed into "Hell" is much hotter and the pain lasts an eternity...BUT, come to think of it, your idea would be an appropriate send-off.
