Remember the days of old, when going to school was to learn, and morality lessons were gained from family, the church and well meaning friends?

"Sheridan said that if a student were being bullied for
unpopular religious beliefs....."

I wonder whether a student who said that homosexual acts were morally wrong would be "protected" or reported for intolerance.

The thought police are also alive and well in Connecticut schools. The ADL's "A World of Difference" program wasted a whole day of learning time in the high school this May. My daughter (who stayed home that day) said later that kids were said to have gone up on stage in front of their entire school and cried at how they had teased other kids who were, or had been brainwashed to think that they were, gay or lesbian.

Officially, the state is taking thought police a step further with this crazy law:

"Effective July 1, public schools in Connecticut are required to develop a system for reporting bullying behavior. The new law requires schools to maintain publicly available lists of verified bullying and adopt a policy for students to anonymously report bullying. The law requires school officials to notify the parents of the alleged bully and victim about any incidents and keep a record of the number of bullying acts."

Under the pretext of protecting students from hypothetical bullies, it seems that the Educationalists are training a whole class of real bullies, to enforce patterns of thought.

Janet Reno would indeed be the person to teach tolerance. The Branch-Dividians at Waco could certainly attest to that. As for the Anti-Defamation League role in this? See How To Identify The Bigot In The Argument.

This sort of nonsense might be an issue that Conservatives could use to finally move West Virginia out of the "Liberal" camp. Let us hope that someone takes advantage of it.

They were supposed to make a movie about that and release it in theaters. Whenever you empower kids over other kids, you create resentment, bitterness, and the potential for cruelty or the ability to ruin ones life. Let the teachers do there job (as shitty as it may be)and let the kids be students.
