Fiedor Report On the News #279 ^ | 7-21-02 | Doug Fiedor

Some in government say that the nation is fighting terrorism against illegal aliens. However, the far left liberals in government seem to feel differently. Instead of rounding up illegal aliens squatting here, some bureaucrats plan to help them.

According to Cari Dominguez, chairwoman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the government will continue efforts to protect illegal workers from racial and sexual discrimination -- despite a Supreme Court ruling that bars them from winning back pay if wrongly fired. "It's important that we treat any type of employment discrimination the same regardless of immigration status," she said.

So, the agency announced that it had directed field offices to pursue cases without regard to workers' immigration status. "Our biggest concern is that undocumented workers not feel afraid or fearful of coming forward," Dominguez said. "We have done extensive outreach in the last few years in rooting out discrimination against those individuals who are the most vulnerable."

There was a time, back in my distant memory, that when a federal bureaucrat came upon an illegal alien they would have them deported. The same laws are still on the books. But, apparently they no longer need to be obeyed by anyone.

Speaking of threat assessment: Anyone know what color the terrorist warning light is nowadays? Does anyone know where to look to find out? Anyone care? That's what I thought. . . . .

Some of us should start looking to Congress for real economic screw-ups. According to The Kansas City Star last week, our government bought some milk. The federal government did that to try to artificially keep milk prices high.

Well, here's the problem: The government is now trying to figure out what to do with $1-billion worth of nonfat milk powder that it accumulated over the past three years. What they now have is the equivalent of about 1.3 billion gallons of skim milk -- enough to supply the nation's entire consumption for 16 months. According to The Star, it would take 635,000 cows an entire year to make that much milk. The bags of powdered milk are kept in a series of privately owned, manmade caves near Kansas City, Mo., and in other warehouses around the country. An additional 20 million to 25 million pounds arrive every week.

That's your government at work "helping" you, folks. We will try to learn where they dump this biohazard when it spoils.

Oh . . . thinking of "spoiled," CNN and MSNBC did a great job of making their program line-up even worse. CNN found out that Connie Chung cannot work without a teleprompter feeding her words. And Phil Donahue? Chris Matthews is bad enough. Donahue, too? Nothing like locking up the far-left on the same few cable TV channels, eh? All they need is to contract Margaret Carlson and Eleanor Clift and we can call those the comedy-news channels.

Still, it’s not all bad on the liberal TV channels lately. What we are seeing in the media is the new "Era of Coulter." Lawyer, commentator, author, and all around good conservative spokeswoman, Ann Coulter seems to be almost everywhere I look. And that is great to see!

It is very interesting to see the liberal talking heads interview Ann Coulter about her new best selling book "Slander." Truly, in the few interviews I have seen, the liberals prove, conclusively, that they have no hint: No hint about current events other than what is on the teleprompter and absolutely no hint of how to interview a woman who actually knows what she is talking about.

Robert Novak said "Ann Coulter is one of the fiery new breed of conservative commentators who don't worry about what the Establishment thinks of them." Not only does her new book "Slander" prove that, so does the way she gracefully cuts the liberals off at the knees when they try to spew their socialist propaganda while interviewing her.

And, from the "can you believe this" department: New York Senator Hillary Clinton attacked President Bush for waiting to act on the recent business scandals that sent the stock market heading for the dumpers. "We need to go further than enforcing the laws that we've got, because I don't think the laws are necessarily adequate," Hillary said.

Of course, none of the media there asked her about her little problem of violating laws prohibiting vote trading in exchange for presidential pardons. Nor did the media ask her about the recent tax evasion and mail fraud conviction of Paul Adler, a former chairman of the Rockland County Democratic Party and a major Hillary fund-raiser.

Here's a thought: I wonder if we could get Hillary to debate Ann Coulter. . . . . I would even pay to see that happen.

An intereseting rambling I read at NewsMax, and again in a link on Drudge is that Hillary was holding a meeting of 13 top Senate Dems on how to get around new CFR laws and regulations "because the GOP will be watching them like hawks" and that there will be attacks and charges that will result in legal repercussions for Dems if they don't find ways to circumvent them (New laws Hillary voted for).

Senator Finegold entered the meeting and told Hillary to get a grip that they could raise money within the confines of CFR. At which Hillary exploded into one of her famous (or infamous), towering, ranting, swearing, screeching fish wife rages at the Honorable Gentleman.

Evidently all were astounded! Senator Clinton said to Senator Finegold "join the real world". To which he is said to have responded that he "did just fine living in the real world". Up until now Hillary has been known as affable and friendly, but her true shrew nature slipped out. I wonder if she called him a F&%$*&g J^# B*&($#d? (I hope so).

The following day on the floor of the Senate she was reported to have apologized to him making some quip in an attempt to make it seem a joke, and cute.

Given enough rope both these (ex-President and ex-co-president)are going to hang themselves.
