Shortly after the explosion at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, an "all points bulletin" went out over the Oklahoma City police radio band alerting law enforcement officers to be on the lookout for a "late model, almost new, Chevrolet, full-size pickup, brown in color with tinted windows and a smoke-colored bug deflector on the front."

I meant to say you are one weird Islamist apologist (though you may be an Islamist for all we know). Do you do PR work on behalf of the Palestinians like you do the Iraqis and Iranians? I suppose you still demand proof that Arafat's a terrorist right? And when you see documents proving it you just claim they're forgeries right?

I was not wearing my tin foil hat when I read this so will someone tell me why McVeigh would allow himself to be executed without mentioning (in his defense) the participation of Iraquis (whom he had fought against in the Persian Gulf War)?

For very good reason, rabidone.

The FBI and the Justice Department wouldn’t allow McVeigh to say anything.

In case you missed it too that was a sarcastic joke. See the post right before after it. Context is everything.

I suspect you just don't want to know anything that calls into question your belief that government is basicly good and can't commit evil acts against its own citizens. You have lots of company.
You can "suspect" until the cows come home. Why not keep your posts to the point and quit speculating about me personally? Does it always put your nose out of joint to have someone disagree with you-- even in a mild-mannered way? Do you find that a snotty attitude wins people over to your point of view? (You were going to mention "sheeple" there at the end, weren't you?) Have a great evening, now.

"We, as American citizens, had a right to know that the Iraqi regime was directly implicated in the bombing of the Murrah building in Oklahoma City," writes columnist Carol Devine-Molin.
Is this part of the war drum beating for the get Iraq crowd?

I don’t see how admitting that the government covered up the truth in the Oklahoma bombing will help the Bush administration.

President Bush will never admit that he covered up the truth about the bombing.

"The matter hides itself, because no one can imagine it."
You know, I was thinking something along those very lines as I was posting. And I was remembering that Bill Clinton was POTUS. I was in the process of asking myself if I could believe that of him. He's a filthy, unprincipaled dog, so, reluctantly, I could believe it of him. The pain is believing that Americans (excluding Bill) could do something like this to other Americans. But, hey-- it's the history of the world, isn't it? "Do unto others if it serves your purpose."

Ashcroft "studied" the OKC bombing according to many on FR ---- (note the dates)

"Prosecutors have rejected suggestions that there was any foreign involvement in the April 19, 1995, bombing, and a judge refused to allow lawyers to raise it in the Denver trial of bomber Timothy McVeigh, who was executed last year."

 CBS NEWS ----   March 15, 2002

"Last May, shortly before the first media reports that the McVeigh documents were missing, Mr. Defenbaugh told a Dallas television station that despite various investigations into FBI mistakes and blunders, none had targeted the Oklahoma City bombing probe.
"There hasn't been one of the Oklahoma City bombing case — and the reason why is because that was done correctly and properly. Every time you hear criticism of the FBI, you never hear about the Oklahoma City bombing case," he said."

MORE SIGNS

"On the day of the bombing, a highly regarded intelligence source in Saudi Arabia told Vincent Cannistraro, then the chief of counterterrorism at the CIA, that an Iraqi terrorism team was assessing targets to attack in Oklahoma City, Los Angeles and Houston. The Saudi informant, a member of the Saudi Counterterrorism Service, stated that he had seen the target list and first on the list was the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. "

This demands attention. This article is devastating in its factual implications. And the voices on the ground in Okla. City for days and weeks and months after the attack were trying to get this information to the FBI head office of the bombing-for some reason located in Denver.

Affadavits refering to the middle eastern men, as seen by witnesses, were REFUSED by JANET RENO's FBI office in Denver.

This article CRYS out for attention from the main stream media. Our nation, WE, each of us, DESERVE to know what happened there. The Klintons and their reign of terror simply lied to us TOO MUCH....that is why their treachery will NEVER EVER FADE.

Tim went quietly because his sister was threatened with prosecution.
Yeah right? Who is going to take sure death to avoid a sibling possibly being prosecuted and possibly being convicted (especially if the prosecution would bring into question his own guilt.) I think some of you are willing to go any length to believe that Tim Lives and that the "cigarette smoking man" does in fact run the US government.

Repeat after me...The X-Files was only a TV program.

Some people love their families, Dave S.

I don’t believe that the threats against McVeigh’s friends and family stopped with prosecution, either. They would have been threatened with death, too. Remember Ruby Ridge? Remember Waco?

That’s right, the X-Files was a television show.
The government-approved murders at Waco were in a television show, and it was a live program, too.

That doesn’t mean that the Davidians aren’t dead, and it doesn’t mean that the government didn’t plan the murders.

I love you, too, carenot.
Let's look at this from a larger perspective:

Suppose George W. did go after Bill Clinton and set a precedent that the next time a President of a different political party was elected, the new President would be forced by protocol to "go after" the previous President.
It would happen as surely as the sun comes up in the morning.
The political wounds run deep and memories are long.
The pressure would be there to dig up everything that could possibly be used to incriminate the previous President.
Do we want our Presidents tied up in old grudge campaigns against political enemies that would drag on for years?
Of course Bill Clinton deserves a prison sentence if not a firing squad, but that opens up a can of worms that George W. has wisely, in my opinion, chosen to keep the lid on.

I don't like it either that Slick and his Witch have gotten off scot-free, and, in fact, made money off his shenanigans, but I think this is a case of the lesser of the two evils.

I don't want the lid on. If they did somthing, they should be brought to court at least.

I don't want to go along to get along.

The lesser of two evils, is still evil.

I find the timing of that article a tad bit too 'suspicious' for my taste. Call it PRE-cognitive dissonance! How come this bit of 'news' came up when the drums of war are being pounded for a strike against Iraq.

I personally would want to see Saddam ousted (and punishment directed towards him and his cronies), and i think GW should finish the job his dad started .....but i would not like it to be based on obstinate suppositions perpetuated by the radical fringe! After all, when going to slay a dragon slay it because it is evil and deserves to be slain .....there is no need to concoct and conjure up stories that really have no way of been proved correct.

It is widely believed that Tim McVeigh and his buddies did this in order to fulfil the dire predictions of the Turner Diaries. This is the conventional thought on the matter ...and the one given to us by the Feds and other pertinent authorities. Could it be false? Yes ....that is a definite possibility although it is not very high on the probability list! After all there are all sorts of 'evidence' espoused by different camps that is obviously not true eg aliens exist, sasquatch stole my chicken dinner, black copters with men dressed in black suits etc etc. In my book i would place the 'Iraqi' connection in this category.

Actually think of it ...why would McVeigh use Iraqi help to bring the Fed building down? He might have hated the Federal Government, but something tells me he hated Arab looking (or for that matter anyone who looked different from him) much more than the feds. Unless of course a tertiary theory crops up that he was some 'unknowing unwilling' pawn in a 'vast global conspiracy' to undermine the 'great Satan' USA by attacking a federal building in Oklahoma City.

I tend to believe in Occams Razor (that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one) and thus i am swung to Tim McVeigh being the bomber (obviously with some help from his buddies ...but none of them had an Arab accent)!

Actually this 'theory' reminds me of the ones being proliferated on the so called 'Arab street' saying that the WTC attacks on 9-11 are the work of the Israeli Mossad collaborating (in some variants of this tale) with US covert agencies. Honestly that 'theory' of a Mossad hit on the WTC is not only offensive but also rank with stupidity! I find the one of Iraqi involvement in the OKC bombing also rather asinine, especially when i consider the timing of its release.

Trust me ...if GW thought this to ahve any iota of PROVABLE truth Baghdad would have USAF and USN military assets streaming above it in droves! However what si PROVABLE is that Timmy boy had a vendetta against the government and decided to take scores of innocent lives in the process.

And although there is always the slightest chance some secret Iraqi cabal was behind this i would say there is an equal chance that Sasquatch went to the Himalayas to marry the Abominable Snowman, and they had triplets named Bill, Joe and Francis! Possible ,,,but only if you like psychedelic drugs and are into yeti mythology!

Much as I detest Clinton, I didn't notice Bush exposing this lie or those around TWA 800, Flight 587, etc., etc.

You are absolutely correct and we both could easily name some more unlawful acts committed by the filthy Clintons that this present administration has conveniently ignored.

I suspect Bush is more interested in building his legacy than he is to use the power of the office of the President to expose the innumerable acts of treason and out and out fraud by the past administration and yes even some members of both the Senate and the House whose records can not stand the light of truth to shine on them.

It is most frustrating to me as an American who despises lying and stealing by public officials whether they be Republican or Democrat.

I believe both the Senate and the House are crowded with many unsavory characters who have many years of shagging the American public and with an arrogance and unaccountability that Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin would have coveted.

I guess you assume Im an arab or Islamist because it fits your theory, kind of the way you fit the pieces together in your little conspiracy theories (i.e, just make it up as you go)

Im half sweede, one quarter brit, and one quarter german. With those genes I often wonder why my brother is a blue eyed blonde and Im not. Oh well, enough on that. As far as the Islamist part, I'm Christian, assuming you still accept Methodists as Christians. Some of them can be damn liberal. No I dont do PR work or lobbying or politics for Palestinians, Iraquis, Iranians or any other Islamist group.

Are you really a spycatcher or just a big mouth?

See post # 156 on why i think this tale (and it is a tale for now until attestable PROOF that is largely incontestable is provided) smacks of both folly and fallacy!

Remember Occams razor. Also remember tha crazy Islamists are trying to blame WTC by using similar 'theories' that the 9-11 attack was the work of the Mossad. Personally i rank this silly tale of the Murrah bombing connected to iraq together with the even sillier tale of Israeli agents collaborating with American agents to bring down the WTC. Both theories are, as i said, full of folly and fallacy.

Anyway look at 156.
