JUST when you thought television couldn't possibly sink any lower in the swamp, along comes "Meet My Folks," which should be titled, "Meat My Daughter."

Each week parents allow three strangers to come and spend a weekend with them and their single young daughter.

It's so sleazy that even Jerry Springer would be ashamed to participate.

I doubt that. He just hadn't thought that one up yet.

If this is not a joke, then NBC has sunk even lower than I imagined.

I know there is no limit to human depravity, but, like extraordinarily large or small numbers, past some level it's hard to comprehend.

At one point, I thought Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, and Tom Brokaw represented the abyismal, abyssal depth. But no; that was some time back. I am so glad that my family and I never watch network television--our lives are so filled with the beautiful and the fascinating.

They've been advertising this for a few weeks at least. When I first saw it, I thought it really is the next logical step. They've had 15 women or men pawing over 1 person of the opposite sex in a game show enviroment, heck why not throw the parents in for good measure. What next? One of the parents tries hitting on one of the dates and we film that?

This should not be an attitude of 'don't watch it if you don't agree'. Morality in this nation has dropped to an all time low, and what's worse is there is a market for trash like this show

"S(e)rgeant"

This reporter is giving away his liberal, loath-the-military background through stupidity. He will probably never know he was dead wrong.

After reading this post, Kat, I watched some of this program tonight. It was a new low in tasteless television. It's hard to imagine that there are really people that trashy out there. I turned it off after about half an hour. It was really making me sick.
