This was written pretty much in the pre "asteroid impact wiped out the dinosaurs" era, wasn't it? Velikovsky didn't publish his Worlds in Collision until 1950. After that there was a backlash against the idea of worldwide catastrophe. It appears that such folks as Baille have come up with a better explanation of these physical and legendary data.
