Do you really believe that Greenspan, Rubin, O'Neill, etc. don't know about these theories and facts and are dumbly repeating the old mistakes? While you, of course, are smarter and wiser? Never met them, couldn't tell you. Their problems are institutional in nature. The Soviets had some brilliant economists: didn't help.
