There must be something wrong with me – I usually ignore advertising, and can’t think of a single time I was influenced to do something because of it.
An ad that claims “everyone’s a winner” in a casino has to be seen for what it is.

Thank Heavens for men like Dr. James Dobson.........because gambling is an evil, insidious industry.
To ignore its problems is folly.

It's not gambling ... it's gaming. Get it right. Gambling is bad, gaming is fun!

I think it's very sad how all over the nation there's been an explosion in the gambling type industries. It is not good for our people.

In my state, Arizona, the only people who can own casinos are indians. Then, on top of that the casinos have not been taxed at all. They're the only business that is not taxed by the state. That is changing, but the indians are still on a pedestal and the normal taxes are not applying to the casinos. They are treated with kid gloves regarding taxation by the state.

Meanwhile, we have a massive shortage of funds. The public schools have had their budgets actually cut, not just reduced in growth. The state's prisons have laid off prison guards and released prisoners early, all because of budget shortfall. It is still taboo to say that the indians' casinos should be taxed the same as any other business.

It is insanity how we've just allowed these casinos to expand. A small percentage of the population is very seriously damaged by gambling, yet nobody benefits in reality.

Trial lawyers are beginning to lick their collective chops at this ripe and rich target.

The continued ruination of this country at the hands of trial lawyers.

Good luck to those participating in this anti-gambling crusade. There are a lot of players.
