if this tape is the real thing why didnt the government use it a long time ago to put him away?Because the tape doesn't provide any evidence of a crime. Sharpton was offered the oppurtunity to go into the narcotics business, and his response was polite indifference.
Why has the tape surfaced now? Because we are on the cusp of a Rev. Al smear campaign orchestrated by his fellow democraps who don't want to have to deal with him as a serious candidate for the democrapic presidential nomination, and possible third-party candidate.

Agreed, Sharpton is as rotten as they come, but you can't convict him on this silly tape. He doesn't say a damn thing! There's a political reason this has been resurrected.

You got it. I just got up so it took me a few seconds, but my first thought was "well, this isn't any proof of criminal wrongdoing, but it WOULD be enough to make sure he's never able to run for any political office (except maybe Congress; the dopes in his "district" are the type that elect people like Mel whats-his-name and Alcee Hastings).
So who would benefit from that? Hillary! for sure, and most of the machine politicians in NY.

How come we don't get to see the Roger Clinton videotape where he claims that his brother has a nose like a vacuum cleaner?
