Jul. 23, 2002 Palestinians declare day of rage

Thirteen Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction, called for a day of rage Tuesday in the Palestinian territories, in response to the assasination overnight of Saleh Shehadeh, head of the Hamas military wing, reports Israel Radio.

Today is a day of rage? What was yesterday, a day of violent angst? And before that was a day of immoderate anger, and before that a day of immutable transgression?

Israel should take out all the leaders that incite mob violence. Whoever called this a "day of rage" should be moved higher up on the list.

"Day of Rage" is so pedestrian... lets make it a holiday to rival Rahmadan. Rage/Celebration, in Islam they seem to be the same emotion: alotta hand gestures, facial contortions, gutteral noises and gun fire. And, of course, the ritual dressing of infants in homocide bombing costumes.

Instead of a month long fast the Palis' can gourge themselves on the "forbidden fruit" of Islam (no not Louis Farahkan)... Pork. Pork Bar-B-Ques in Jenin (plenty of BBQ pits there), BLT sandwiches for a nice picnic lunch in Gaza... you get the picture. The Pali's can borrow from the "festival of lights", and in keeping with traditional Muslim blood libel against Jews, call it the Festival of Killing K*kes.
