That's not even close to a correct figure. I think it's more around 40%. Think of retirees, the unemployed, people on government assistance, and people directly employed by the government. Reconsidering, make that 30%.

I knew when I posted that that someone would take it too literal.

My point is that 99% of Americans have jobs or relations with business. Democrats say Republicans are in bed with business. If that's true then 99% are in bed with business. I guess there's one percent that are homeless or live in the woods maybe, but even the homeless buy wine, I reckon.

Why is it then that the Democrat CEOs are the ones who are currently "cooking the books"!

Martha Stewart...Queen of Soft Money to the DNC...John Sidgmore of WorldCom...Paul Allaire formerly of Xerox...Richard Notebaert of Qwest...Samuel Waksahl of Imclone...and last but surely NOT least---Terry McAuliffe, Chairman of the DNC.

That's why conservatives are asking GW to use the bully pulpit. The slanderers can't ignore completely the President's annoucements.

“I expect to get screwed by the Democrats,” an angry House Speaker Dennis J. Hastert told fellow Republicans on Monday, “but I didn’t expect to get screwed by our friends

Now, he knows how conservative Republicans feel after every election when they are sold out by their own party leadership.

"What kind of world do you want, one where we live in communes and grow flowers for each other?"

That would be nice, but I would settle for a world where conservatives did something besides encourage businessmen to give in to their greed, and where conservatives used a little common sense and realized that gov't regulation is essential in a civilized society. parsy.

"O.K., massively cut government spending, taxing, and regulating. That should improve the economy..."

The truth has no place in this government. Stop dreaming.

Give in to their greed? Where have conservative done this? Ill-gotten gains is filthy lucre and Democrats are much more greedy than conservatives because they force people to give them money. Businessmen exchange goods and services for money.

...and where conservatives used a little common sense and realized that gov't regulation is essential in a civilized society. parsy.

The only reason why Democrats want more regulation is so they can steal more money. Look at cable rates, they've more than doubled since the Dems convinced people that regulation was needed. Someone's stealing a lot of money there.

Thanks, I did get carried away. I keep thinking, any day now, they'll see the obvious.

"Businessmen exchange goods and services for money."

So does gov't. Its called taxes. We give them money and they give us stuff like highways, defense, schools, etc. The problem is, we usually end up overpaying - not getting our money's worth. But that happens with business, too. Which is why you said: "Look at cable rates, they've more than doubled since the Dems convinced people that regulation was needed. Someone's stealing a lot of money there." Yep. The cable companies. parsy.

"Frustrated Republicans are urging the Bush Administration to engage in a “bold move, any bold move” to move the country beyond the current stock market crisis that threatens the party’s chances in the November elections."

I have a radical proposal that has never been thought of in Washington D.C., before now! Why don't we try PUNISHING the crooked CEOs as opposed to playing golf with them!?!

Nope, that's not an exchange, that money is taken and given to those who don't work.

We give them money and they give us stuff like highways, defense, schools, etc.

...welfare queens, lifetime students,...

The problem is, we usually end up overpaying - not getting our money's worth. But that happens with business, too.

In business, you have a choice to not buy, with taxes, you don't.

Which is why you said: "Look at cable rates, they've more than doubled since the Dems convinced people that regulation was needed. Someone's stealing a lot of money there." Yep. The cable companies. parsy.

The Dems got their greedy hands in the cable industry and prices doubled. Conclusion: Dems are thieves.
