Tax hikes on cigarettes imposed recently by states and cities across the United States are not only filling coffers but are also proving to be a strong deterrent to smoking, an anti-tobacco group said on Monday. If smoking is down, how then, are they "filling state coffers?!"

reductions in future healthcare costs. Same old song and dance! We smokers pay MORE then our fair share of healthcare costs, IF we have any!

How would they know?
If you buy on-line or roll your own and smoke them in the AC comfort of your own home, how the heck to the State Idiots know anything??
Especially if they are basing their numbers on revenue numbers.

Just wait 'til the law of diminishing returns kicks in, then the brilliant Morons we have in government will decide that the taxes have to be raised even more to make up the shortfall. Then they will go around the circle again and again like the mythical bird which flew in ever decreasing circles until it disappeared in its own A$$hole. The requirements to be a politician or a government employee seem to be that they must have the intellect of an idiot.
That's my opinion
