President Bush and First Lady Laura announced a new initiative to increase public awareness and encourage Americans to consider adoption of children in foster care. Bush was joined by Bruce Willis, who the President picked to be the spokesman for initiative, as well as Willis' daughters and ex-wife Demi Moore. The PSA can be seen on the White House web site. How many 'doses' have we had to date? Every one is just as delightful as the one before. Your efforts bring joy to many.

Here is the way I see it. The Justice department is also investigating Enron and we haven't heard much from them. All we have heard is the rhetoric from the partisen Senate hearings. Loserman has said he is not going to hold hearings on any other companies besides Enron and so far he refuses to subpenoa Bob Rubin or CitiGroups CEO to testify in the hearings. So the hearings are solely for the purpose of hurting the President and the republican party.

I believe we will see the DOJ announce they are seeking indictments for many of the key players in this scam. I also see this as a good thing, because in the end our markets will be more reliable

I agree with you on Harvy Pitt, in fact I said it 2 weeks ago when they started calling for his head. The RATS are fresh out of Janet Reno's and Mary Jo White's and it's time to pay the Piper.

Many FReepers have been PO'd because the Bush Administration didn't immediately go after the Clinton's and the Crooks they hung with. I have said since day one that the Bush Administration would be fools to go after them right away. That day is coming soon and this will make Watergate look like a parking violation. If the Bush Administration has done anything real good, it's the way they announce things.

I believe President Bush is a poker player and he knows when to play his hand, I believe the democrats have cooked their own Goose by calling for these hearings and especially for demanding a full DOJ investigation. I have learned not to underestimate this administration and when the time is right.... Bush and Ashcroft will drop the hammer on all of them.

One last thing,

This country hasn't come this far because of the way we have handled the good times, The reason why this country is so strong is because of how we handle the tough times. This mess Clinton brought us is an easy challenge and we will be stronger after all is said and done :-)

They must be getting along fairly un-acrimoniously or they wouldn't be showing up for this event and putting the shoulder to the grindstone for this casue ... the WH wouldn't put them center stage and let them emit personal emnity fireworks that detracted from the adoption issue. I'm certain a lot of vetting was done on this angle.

I just wanted to put my two cents in re this couple -- I never found anything to attract me to them as actors or people, excepting the political leanings of Bruce. It all congealed when I read an article in a magazine a long time ago where Demi went into waaaay too much detail about how they would spend their final night together before being parted for a big movie shoot, which solidified my not very high opinion.

I never was one to go with a crowd ... hats off to all of you who can enjoy their careers, etc.
