Persian Gulf war, a huge percentage of the women on board the aircraft carriers

IIRC, I don't think any women were on aircraft carriers at that time. The same is not true today of course. Then women were mostly on auxillery ships, and a few smaller combatents perhaps, which did indeed have the problems with pregnancies.

Now they are on all sorts of ships, and fly in combat aircraft. Maybe the solution, barring a return of male intestinal fortitude, is to have ships and units that are exclusively female.

Well - no more pregnancies (except from shore leave), and Al-Qaeda would get knots in its underwear if beaten up by the American ladies!
