"It's disheartening to believe that so many Americans have so little faith in their leaders". I'm not sure this includes The Office of the President.(With the Dasschle in charge of the Senate,of course it's a given fact.)Example:if 'algore' had been President the last 18 months,I think I would've gone out of my mind.Since George 'W' Bush has been in office, I've slept better, believing in my gut, that he doesn't wish the American people any harm, through any of the actions he may choose to make.I couldn't say that from 1992-2000.

Thanks for reminding those of us with short memories just why, that was then..this is now. Even though he may(and IMO)has made mistakes, I believe his heart is in the right place. And this is why I'm proud to call him my President.

Bill Clinton was never the PROBLEM. He is just a symbol of the Problem! The PROBLEM is most Americans share CLINTON's morals!!!
Holy Cow! You and I agree! Write down this day in History!!!

14 - He is not writing a letter of deceit to a survivor of the Bataan Death March.
What's this all about? Never heard of this one.

His words may not be perfect but there is no doubt that he is a caring, loving man, a "peoples" president. I don't want a caring loving man I want a mean anticommunist bastard who will protect my money, slash the government, and scare the crap out of foreign terrorist( Cheney would be nice Rumsfeld would be perfect).

Thanks for the tip, but I already know what kind of person he is. There are so many of his ilk on this forum that it is difficult to even get a reasonable debate on most issues, especially as they relate to GWB and the republicans. Sinkspur is no different than the clinton lovers in their blind allegience to a political party and their cultist support of a party leader.

George W. Bush Is No Bill Clinton Thanks be to God!

The Republicans do a very poor job at getting out any type of message and responding to the Dems statements/lies/spin. . . . and given that journalists are liberals (and have white blood cells primed to attack any conservative who tries to get in a word edgewise), it could hardly be otherwise if you don't have Ronald Reagan himself as PotUS.

A majority of Americans think George Bush engaged in insider trading because if they had been in his position, they would have engaged in insider trading. People are not angry about Bush being accused of doing what they would have done if the rolls were reversed.
Most Americans were not angry with Bill Clinton for having sex with a young intern because most Americans would have had sex with a young intern if they had the same chance.
Bill Clinton was never the PROBLEM. He is just a symbol of the Problem! The PROBLEM is most Americans share CLINTON's morals!!!
That is one of the finest analyses that I have ever read about the Clinton regime and how it stayed in power. It makes such perfect sense. I can't believe that I didn't see it before! The majority of the American people who opposed removal from office weren't brainwashed after all, it was all just honor among thieves!
Thank you for the insight!
