Shehada: A Profile In Religious Moslem Terrorism
Arutz 7 ^ | July 23, 2002 | staff

As the world continues to criticize Israel for its killing of arch-terrorist Salah Shehada in his hideout amidst a crowded residential area in Gaza, the IDF released a report today detailing some of Shehada's recent murderous activities. He was a founder of Hamas, the commander and central figure in its military wing, directly responsible for hundreds of attacks committed against Israelis, and known to be planning further severe acts of terror.

Arutz-7's Uzi Baruch notes that Salah Shehada was a man who combined a social work career with ordering and helping to arrange the murder of hundreds of Israelis. Only days before his death, he was in the midst of planning to send a truck loaded with 600 kilograms of explosives to the Gush Katif musical celebrations. Unlike the Dolphinarium, Park Hotel, Sbarros, and other slaughters, he did not succeed this time.

The IDF report explains that Shehada was a main link with Hamas officials and donors abroad, led the efforts to manufacture Kassam rockets, and oversaw the production and purchase of other armaments. "Based on his extremist Islamic viewpoint," the IDF report states, "Shehada spent a lot of effort in educating and preparing the new generation of Palestinian youths in the principles of Jihad and suicide attacks... He supported them fully in this path, and even established a youth wing within Hamas that provided military education and training for youths preparing for suicide missions. Shehada also provided the principles for the religious approval for using women and young girls as suicide terrorists."

A religious Moslem, Shehada laid down, in an exclusive interview on the Hamas website, four main requirements a suicide bomber must meet before being sent out against Israeli targets: * His parents must be satisfied with their child, [who] loves his family, and not be the family's sole supporter or an only son;
* He must have the ability to perform the mission;
* Each suicide attack must encourage others to perform such missions and to support the jihad.

It was made known today that Shehada was released from Israeli prison two years ago after signing a promise not to engage in terrorism. Lt.-Col. (res.) Meir Indor of the Terror Victims Association tells that this is not the first time genuine terrorists have been release from Israeli prison: "The Tanzim is made up of veterans of Israeli prison, and the same with Hamas. We appealed to the Supreme Court against these wholesale releases of thousands of terrorists that were the result of the Oslo Agreements. Almost all of them returned to their terrorist activities…"

These percision removals of Palistinian terrorists must continue... kudos Israel. I don't want to talk about the red herring of civillian Pali casualties... its a non-issue; Israel is at war for her survival. It fires hundred of thousands of rounds in these selective "reprisals" over the last year... and only a couple handful of Pali civilian deaths. If anything, Israel is being to cautious, civilized and humane in carrying out its opperations, as 22 dead IDF in Jenin attests... Those terror compounds should have been carpet bombed.

Hopefully, the Pali civilians (which comprise less than 50% of thier pop.) will oust the cowardly terrorists who set up shop in thier homes. Israel's response would then trully become a detterent to further homicide attacks by Palis.

Everybody in the world needs to be advised not to live with terrorists, and if you do so, it will be at your own peril. George Bush has said that we will go after all terrorist and all who support them where ever that they may be. I do not feel that Israel need apologized for stopping a murderer in his tracks, and I am just sorry that he was not stopped sooner. I think it was legitimate to track him down and to get him where ever they found him.

With so many of the vermin locked up in the last six months,
are lessons learned?

A religious Moslem...

Who trains children to murder civilians on suicide missions?

What kind of religion is this Islam? I keep waiting for some good Muslims to rise up and condemn arsholes like this... It's a good thing I didn't hold my breath.

Where are all the decent "religious Moslems" who deplore men like him? Where is the Islamic dissent from this man's interpretation of Islam, or do all "religious Moslems" believe this way?

I only know of one "religious Moslem" who openly and actively condemns Palestinian terrorism as evil.
